  • sdsv has a much nicer snare (more harder and stronger) than my sds 8 (for it is more subtle)

  • Why the Simmons company stopped producing these drums ?

    it sounds great

  • Sibi, altes Haus :-) Hier ist Atti, Dein alter (Amptown-)Kunde und Trommler-Kollege.

Schön Dich wieder in Action zu sehen!!!

Simmons war eh endgeil; SDS5 und SDX

    sind ungeschlagen!!

    Hau rein und alles Gute!!

    Attila

  • Hey Atti, das nenne ich eine Überraschung!! Hoffe es läuft alle smooth bei Dir.... Si.

  • Nice! Want More!

  • Hmm....first simmons?

  • OK, first Simmons was the SDS3, but the first COMPLETE Drumset like Simmons Kit, featuring Bassdrum, Snare and Toms was the SDS V, correct?? Best Wishes Pauker

  • Damn bro you are a very talented drummer!.Simmons kicks ass they where way ahead of thier time.Electronics of today just don't don't do justice. How old is that kit you are using and what model are they?.Bill Bruford paved the way for Simmons back in the day.Must of played the biggest Simmons kit i ever seen.Ever used Simmons SDX?.Know of any Simmons kits for sale?.Keep up the great work that you do!!!!!

    Roger

  • Kits produced in '81 or '82! SDX was great ! I played together with Bill Bruford in the 80ties at tradeshows and yes I had a SDX full set with 10 pads. Bill used two SDX's on a tour with YES (late 80ties) he used 16 (!!) Pads . BTW: Simmons Kits for sale is tough, sometimes you find some on ebay, but if I ever sell one of mine I let ya know Regards from germany, Pauker1 alias Sibi

  • Wow built in the early 80's that just shows you Simmons was made to last.Even though i had wondered if they would work being that old stuff like dead spots in the pads etc.Yes i do have a great dvd called An Evening Of Yes Music Plus With Bruford making magic with that massive kit.Amazing how SDX sound in a live setting with such deep tone. The electronic kits they make today would they even compare to the SDX technology?.I understand they only made 250 or so SDX kits back in the day!

  • Outstanding! Long live the hex!

    Thanks for posting.

  • Unreal, being waiting to see this footage for ages, rockin'!! Bit of a shame the bottom end is distorting though, obviously it's not the kit itself, just the mic on the camera/phone/whatever just can't handle the POWER of the SDSV!! Thanks for posting, very cool!

  • Thanks for your comment, very nice! Now I'm still having other vids but I need to cut and arrange them. The others will follow shortly, with a better sound. Great to hear that you like it! Best, Pauker1
