In the biography of read on her it said that besides suffering from Anorexia that she suffered horribly from depression and that she had a labotomy and then caught pneaumonia after this sugery and passed away from this. It's all in her bio which can be found online.

It's strange, that it would take the media upwards of a year to report her death. (Please note that I'm here in America, where Lena's death was never reported at all. I only learned of it about 4 1/2 years ago by way of the Internet.)

Well don't believe everything people say, either, because even tho a cousin says it was 1998, she would have turned 36 IN 1999 just one month after she passed. So, 1963 plus 35 years equals 1998, but she turned 35 nov 4th near the END of 1998, so she would have been 35 on Oct 1, 1999. Family can be forgetful but believeable.
