Wherever Clarence White is now he's smiling and i do agree with you Tech1000world he should be getting more attention for his guitar playing i have all his albums and he's great on all of them.
Okay, young 'uns..here is a pure example of 'God-given talent.' i totally agree with kaylahoot (below) who would have loved to see Don Rich & Marty play Buckaroo together. Only thing that beats hearing country played on a Fender is 'duel' Fenders. I truly feel sorry for the young singers (& music execs) of today who never had the opportunity to hear Buck, Don, Doyle, Jay, Tom--the early Buckaroos, nor did they hear Johnny Cash & The Tenneesee Two, or Chet & Floyd. I'm truly blessed to have.
A guy where I work bought this album because he heard Marty playing the Clarence White guitar. I sent him this video and bam, he bought the CD about 10 minutes later. This is a great song. Marty should be getting way more attention for his guitar playing.
Marty, As much as it bothers me to see someone else playing Clarence White's Tele b-bender, from the way your playing it here I just know Clarence would be proud. I am fortunate to have met, spoken with and seen Clarence White play his Bender. This Tele has a unique voice all its own which I haven't heard played like that since Clarence White played it himself. If I close my eyes, it sounds like it could be him at those strings. Cheers, Scott J.
Marty Stuart takes a back seat to no one...I'd give my right nut to be able to walk a telecaster like that..If you haven't seen him live you don't know what your missing...
This would be my theme song if I had a radio show or a movie about me. :)
A nice, modern companion to "Nashville West", especially when you consider that both songs were probably recorded with that same guitar, just 40 years apart. Great sound, great playing and my favorite B-bender showcase. Nobody works that thing like Marty. Clarence is surely smiling, knowing his Telecaster is in such capable hands and still being played around the world.
I've heard Marty wrote this song for that telecaster

Is there anybody in country music today who dresses cooler than Kenny Vaughn??? I don't think so.

Weird. I'm sitting here at home by myself wearing the exact same ensemble. What are the odds? Seriously, though, amazing guitar playing!
