they forgot the "floating, lolling, gibbering head lol" in little god swamp that fucked me up when i first read that part. pet sematary and christine are the best king books ive read. IT was good but i still like those 2 even better
@jmaan333 "Gage" talksin the movie. It said "I borught you something, Mommy!" just like in the book. Then it made a phone call to Louis telling it had played with Jud and Mommy and now wants to play with Louis. In the end it says "No fair" when Louis manages to kill it. Sadly it never says anything of the nasty fucked up shit it says to Jud in the novel. making the film Wendigo pathetically tame, apart from them showing how it fed on Jud's body. (The most disturbing scene in the entire film.)
Oh no! I was waiting for "Gage" to say "You fucked with me once. Now I've come to fuck with you." and as it kills Jud, it scremed "Now I can fuck with you all I want... ALL I WANT!" (Because it's a cool and intense dialogue as it's not a child but a demon in child's form, and 'fuck with' is a more dramatic phrasing of 'mess with'.) I wish they'll have that scene faithful to the book in the remake as no adaptation yet does. I however am sure the remake ruins the emotional essence of the story.
As soon as she takes over, you can hear that the actress, playing the wife gets acted to the wall by the actors for Chad and the father. Sadly... it would be perfect if she was as good as the others.
@quothetheraven79 When he was imagening the possible future, he made a point that no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't imagine what would happen after Ellie and Rachel opened teh motel door and saw Gage in his arms. So, I take it he didn't know and didn't care. :D And I guess he also trusted that he wouldn't have to explain, that they'd just accept it and fly away together to start a new life somewhere where no one knows them.
Sooooo, I suppose the narrators do not matter, they might die after all. Ha. Ha! Cage was far worse in the book, in that scene. Heh, I wished he'd been that in the film version... his mouth just hanging open and was it Norma's voice coming out or something, anyways his words far worse than that. :P
@peterpanlegend I bet the next year's remake will grant us pretty damn faithful filmatisation of all that, as remakes are all about gore and crudness these days... o.O So, for once it might actually work - only, I believe they'll forget about the most important aspects and turn this brilliant, psychological and emotional story into gorefest.
really great video, come and upload audiobooks to my audio-sharing site soundlantern. We accept all audio formats like MP3, AIFF, WAV. Put it in the "Books" category, but you can also upload and share music. The link is on my channel
