I still love this song today! For whatever reason-maybe the weird dreams from the tooth I broke last night-in my brief naps this song came to me. Drove me nuts trying to remember the artists, let's hear it for youtube! And thanks for sharing, I've always thought this song is a serious cut above, matching a great, moody, ambient yet definitely rocking sound w/great guitar to fantastic lyrics. Timeless, it'll always live on! Thanks for sharing, peace!
Saw this video back in the 80's on MTV. Think I remember a scene showing a Denny's restaurant when the lyric "Deals dope out of Denny's, keeps a table in the back" at 2:26 in the video. The Denny's chain must have gotten on the singer's case...
This song means so much to me, I was 16 when this song came out, I was in a deep depression because of my home life, i have no idea why this song made me stand on my own 2 feet and start living for myself but it did and i will be forever grateful for this song, it really did change my life
David Baerwald : U R Da FN Man !!! Love the hell out of this whole CD my 2 sons (9 & 30) both R crazy about it , too. The percussion is so " out there ". Loved NFU and what U did with Sheryl Crow. Also, that song" Postman " with Crazy Jim Jones yelling is one of the greatest songs EVER !
I love this song. I remember first seeing this vid on Houston's Video Hits 5, a local, low budget MTV wanna be station. It impacted me even before I was ten years old.
It´s almost like always listens to the ground
es inegablemente una grandiosa, maravilla esta cancion y todo el album
great album from beginning to end!

I never understood why they didn't make a 2nd record. They still collaborated on projects 10 years after this came out.

If you like the reality behind the music, you might want to listen to Shawn Mullins: Rock-a-bye.

Classic. Probably my favorite CD of all time! Went looking for more from D&D and wound up with a couple other discs from David Baerwald.

Oddly enough it reminds me of treeplanting in the wilds of Canada. This was on one of two mixed tapes I had to listen to for the entire season.
