  • Thank you all for your comments. I know Mårten is thrilled you share his love of music. My husband was a gifted, and magical musician. It is a year this month since he passed, but his music continues to touch people still. Mårten, you are dearly missed...but I am sure you have a band of angels jamming now...♥ Peg

  • Nice guitar!!

  • awesome improv! and that lowden sounds gorgeous! I've got my eye on a used one that I want to buy. The more I hear these things the greater they sound.

  • " Well I woke up this morning... had the blues all around my bed... well I woke up this morning baby... well there was`nt nothing wrong... I just had a bad head...

How are you going to get a good bed in your head...

Well you know if you threat her right... Come home early not late at night... bring some flowers, dont have to no showers...

My baby say`d she love me.. and I belive what she say`d is true...

And I can always do what my baby wants me to do "

Got to love the blues. Well played.

  • Sweet!! so glad I found your vid. you got some serious skils man, inspiring...

  • that was amazing!

  • gooooood. :)

  • great!! i just started playing guitar, and am just wondering: how in the world can you just make all of this up on the spot?? is there some kind of secret?

  • @rawoofikaroofi - No secret, every lick is part of my "vocabulary". After a while you can throw them together in almost any order without really thinking about it. I could not play this piece exactly the same way twice.

  • @MartenMicro

thats the best way to explain it i never thought of it as a "Vocabulary"

  • @rawoofikaroofi ive been playing guitar almost 10 years now and ive found that liek the more you play other peoples music you start to elarn tips and techniques it all falls in to place eventually a great help for me was listening to eric clapton

  • Great job.

    Best regards, Sammi

  • God save the Blues

while they're dancing behind the door.

    good !

  • that was a kickin' piece of pickin'

  • just amazing how do you bend acoustic strings like that though do you have to get thinner acoustic strings.

  • natural!

  • Jadu Mårten! Den sadd som sviskonet i gåsaröven! :) sitter här hemma o önskar ja va lia bra som du! Hade gutt /André

  • Nice!

  • Its great. I like...

    Congratulations

  • Awesome sir! Keep on!

  • hey man this is great. what kind of scales are you improvising in? major pentatonic? E blues?

  • The tune is in A major. I don't think in scales when I play the blues. I play what I have picked up over many years of listening to greats such as BB, Albert & Freddie, Hendrix, Buddy Guy, Mike Bloomfield, Clapton and may others with my own lines mixed in .

  • @MartenMicro i agree, when you play the blues, you shouldnt be using scales if you really feel the music, and put your heart and soul into it. using scales for soulful music is like planning your own surprise party.

  • Super!

  • lovely stuff. also, nice tash man

  • excellent playing !!!

  • awsome guitar and playing man! 5*

  • Vaguely reminds me of "No Particular Place to Go":D very nice job.

  • The rift that you start with is really nice.

    It's in E right?

Can you help me with the fingerings?

    Thanks!

  • very tasty

  • very haha

  • By the way man...What guitar are you using ?

  • It's a Lowden O32. I have it tuned down a whole step to pull those .12 g strings which also adds to the sound.

  • @MartenMicro hello did you try the O32C allready ?

  • Alright then....Now I must listen again with my guitar in hand, because I'm betting you are very fun to play along with....Rock on buddy...!

  • Wow! you should make some blues instructional videos on improvising! it would be greatly appreciated by many inspired guitarists! i got the blues!

  • Marten, I can only guess that you have pleased many, many folks over a long and successful musical career. If that is not the case, well, now you have You Tube - and I for one really enjoy what you have shared: mightybright1

  • Glad you like it. Played a lot some 25 years ago back in Sweden. Recently, occasional club gigs in NYC.

  • Wow this is great. How long have you been playing for?

  • Thanks. I started playing when I was 15 so it's been a few years :)

  • I just started playing last year when I was 15. I hope I'm as good as you when I'm older.
