Thunderbolt Siren Blower - Water Treatment Plant Blower - Same Thing

When I went to film Robert Gift's 2T22A, it is sitting next to a small sewage plant that uses a few roots blowers. In my first vid you can hear them right before he says "GO!" and i flip the switch for the siren. The roots blowers are really loud up close.

Those blower packages are actually used all over the place, in pneumatic conveying, fish farming, soil reclamation, and other places where large volumes of low-pressure are are required.. In theory, if a Thunderbolt's blower package were to fail, a custom-designed blower package like this could take its place.

Wow it's quiet with an intake silencer, was it a 4M blower or a 5M?

Who would have guessed that Federal Signal used the SAME blower as is used in a sewage treatment plant... now that is neat.

Thunderbolts have a roots blower and roots is still in business and roots blowers are used in a treatment plant too.
