  • Sissel is so pretty!! and great voice too! <3

  • Sissel's voice simply floats, as if it were a feather borne upon a warm summer breeze. Never deliberate, never forced. Like the feather, it soars and touches the clouds, without ever glinting in the bright sunlight... Incredible...

  • Sara Brightman has a wonderful voice, aber an Buhne sie sieht merkwurdig.

  • Sissel is a magnificent talent, whom I love. Sarah is also talented, without doubt.

  • 2 amazing performances, i wonder which andrew lloyd webber would prefere :)

  • @EngelNr666 A. Lloyd Weber married Sarah Brightman -- that might answer it. I like Sissel myself.

  • what's with the warbling sound Brightman has in voice?

  • @pete49327, she's in an early stage of learning how to make good vibrato. The faults here is, too slow, too narrow banded, which in turn will give too varying power, in the vib.

Sissel knows how to do it, but then again, Sissel knows hot to sing.

  • Although Brightman is my Favorite I do enjoy both ladies. They both have an amazing talent.

  • Why do you see this as a competition? Just enjoy both ladies :-)

  • @noibj1

    I agree

  • Este sencillo marco la carrera de Sarah vendiendo 25,000 copias el primer día de su lanzamiento y otorgándole la nominación al Grammy "Best New Classical Artist”."!..Realmente es Una Diosa de la mejor Musica! I loveee ,I loveeeee <

  • From previous comments I've read it seems obvious that Sissel is "technically" the best out of the two singers. Being someone who knows little about the technical side of music I cannot argue this point. But what I do know is that there is something in Brightman's voice that hits me on an emotional level; something I completely resonate with. Therefore Sarah will always be my favorite. But, needless to say both of these women are overwhelmingly talented!

  • @chelseaxwinters, all though you're spelling it out pretty clear, I don't see in your text that you actually fully understand why you, as most other laymen, prefer Sarah over Sissel.

You do in fact realise Sissel got far better technique than Sarah, but you're not able to appreciate quality. For a non trained ear it is easy to dislike excellence, but prefer flaws and errors. Introducing Sissel to your kind is like casting one's pearles before swines. Go away already and never come back!

  • @Idol2011no

I stated my own opinion, rather kindly I do believe. Therefore I don't think that my comment garnered your response. But I do respect your opinion, and it would be nice if you respected mine as well. I enjoy music that makes me feel and you enjoy music that is "correct". We both have our own tastes and I think that having these different views are a good thing, don't you? It would be quite boring if everyone was attracted to all of the same music..

  • @chelseaxwinters,

    - In my world, respect is earned and you did not get mine.

    - Yes, I guess "correct" covers it pretty well.

    - Taste got nothing to do with it. Either it's good or it's not. Singing performance is quantifiable and so is how the ears decode the sound.

    - I fail to see how common thirst for excellency will produce boredom. In fact, it doesn't make sense.

    I believe you're a moron.

  • @Idol2011no

Again, this is your opinion, you can think I'm a moron if you'd like. But, if being a moron means that I have my own opinion and taste (even if you believe it's an idiotic taste) then I will gladly be a moron. But, at the end of the day it is you who is being malicious and I have to say that I'm not so wrapped up in my ideas to fight with you. Thank you for the debate.

  • @chelseaxwinters, no, that is first of all a conclution from conducting a deduction on your rant. The fact that I agree with logic is more or less a coincidence. Thus, opinions are irrelevant.

What debate? So far there has been no reasoning from your side. Only rant and more rant.

  • @Idol2011no

What I have written has never been a rant, as I've been rather apathetic about the entire string of comments. What I don't understand is how you can be so rude simply because I don't prefer Sissel. Of course she is extremely talented, as I have said before - she indeed has a beautiful voice. I never said anything of negativity towards Sissel's talents, thus I have no idea why you feel the need to seek out my specific comment.

  • @chelseaxwinters, I thought it was obvious, even to morons. I love to make fun of stupid people. I found you to be one of them. You just gave me another evidence to support your morones. Being apathetic doesn't exclude one from ranting.

  • @Idol2011no

    Hahahahahaaaa you're an idiot.

  • Sarah is more technical here - she opens her mouth much bigger than Sissel does - and that's a very big plus! But Sissel has stronger and softer voice. I like them both.

  • 8points to sarah

    10 points to sissel (LOVE)

  • I think that you do not use much weaving on your shining beautiful voice and art works.

I like this your song with pure singer as pure higher air on singing on a golden shining flore in wide partin cour with serious in your own god like clearn up

deviles or goast or zonbi or zongi in this chaos and much fighten world .

Many audiences chatch this common impressions from your voices, I hope so.

  • Sarah never managed to take control over her vibrato, thus, never got out of mediocrity. Not nice to put her up against the very best.

  • Sarah looks like she sees something wrinkly and naked in the audience while she's singing.

    Still love her, though.

  • Sarah is more visceral - Sissel more sublime ....both beautiful singers

  • They are both extraordinary. I would very much enjoy listening to ether live. Unfortunately, I don't think Sissel will come to America anytime soon.

  • sarah sounds better in the lower voice

  • @Quexio also, i was hoping for a real duet, asshole!

  • Brightman looks like something from the Rocky Horror Show, I loved her in Phantom but don't like looking at her singing. She is not a patch on Sissel

  • el vibrato de sarah es mas esquisito

  • so much warmer

  • Sarah doesn't come anywhere close to Sissel's standard.

  • Sissel has a nice voice, a bit boring though.

  • @Quexio Do you should search on "Sissel what child is this" and then you will hear her use her voice in a different way. not boring, but very beautiful to listen to!

  • Lovely lovely thank you ladies!

  • :S Sarah Brightman has the strangest look on her face while singing

  • @SunlitAries1625 - I agree. She's got a lovely voice, but...wow. =)

  • @SunlitAries1625 You must have never seen Cecilia Bartoli!

  • @SunlitAries1625 It's because of the 'mask' (a singing technique to augment the voice's volume by using the face muscles)

  • @SunlitAries1625 The strange look on Sarah's face is probably from the most recent plastic surgery. . . you're right, she does look strange. Eyebrows really arched and cheeks pinched in. Hmmmmmmm.

  • @SunlitAries1625: It's her make-up and the stage lighting. Watch her other videos here at YouTube where she sings the same song.

  • I like Sissel's version better.

  • Sissel.....gorgeous rendition and a lovely person to boot !

  • Brightman: waaaaay too much vibrato, ugly facial contortion, poor pronunciation.

Krykjebo: effortless perfection in all respects.

  • Sissel's voice is very clear

  • sarah - great vibrato in the voice, sissel - unprecedented purity

  • !!!!!!!!!!great!
