  • i have one too from 68 it is a fast back. I like your engine. i am looking for a good one in the future when i am done with the body.

  • that cam...just made me lose control of myself. sounds so nice..so nice

  • @crazythreeonefiver hell yeah nice car man cant wait to see what it looks when its finished

  • what kind of car is that?

  • @TheColtcowboy It is a 1968 Ford Fairlane.

  • cool as hell i am not in to street driven race cars any more i like my power just like to be able to take it on a trip drive for fun now

  • @TheBigmichael1 I think it would be fine/reliable for a trip just expensive for gas, I intend to find out at least once.

  • this car gets gallons per mile

  • @Primer9 I was shooting for the smiles per gallon more than the m.p.g. but yeah, it wont be a fuel sipper!

  • Sounds real perty

  • Sounds damn good --- love the Fords

  • its so quiet and tame sounding at idle, its a sleeper=)

  • Just sitting there it sounds beast

  • i was told 68-70 blocks were the best for rebuilding..

  • Did the stroker take away from low end power?

  • @matthewhouston69 lol no... it's called a stroker because it has an increased stroke. More stroke = more torque down low, not less.

  • @445FEar Exactly

  • @matthewhouston69 No, the extra cubic inches added actually lower the torque curve and horsepower peak @500rpm.

  • Sweet! Sorry for the dumb question...i'm not the greatest with old muscle cars...but is that a Fairlane?

  • what for cam are you running?

  • lol so my 300 is borded .30 over has a 4.75 strok i found a stroker kit online and had the guys in the shop rebuild my moter it only had 84k on it but it sat for a long ass time and i think i should get a once over but new crank new rods new pistons tungtsen bareings now i need to gear it up a bit its geared vary vary low but still screms down the road lol

  • sounds awsome im building me a 545 stroker just like yours to go in my 79 F250 supercab 4x4

  • that motor would be great downtuned and in a 79 ford f250. it would be the perfect tow truck.

  • where did you get the kit and how much cause im tryin to build the same thing

  • GOD IAM FROM ARGENTINA, HERE THAT SEDAN 2 DOOR BODY OF THE TORINO DOESNT EXIST, IAM TRYING TO CONVERT A 4 DOOR INTO ONE OF THIS.. I HAVE A 460 STANDART ON IT TOO.... AND A 6-71 BLOWER TO PLAY WITH IT .. MY EXPECTATIONS ARE TO GET THE 10% OF THIS CAR.. PLEASE SEND ME MORE PHOTOS OF YOUR PROYECT, THE ENGINE, AND THE BODYWORK... THEY ARE THE HEAVEN TO MEE!!! JAJAJAAJAJA

  • sounds great, hope dont piss you off but get rid of that solid fan and go with some electric ones, that pulls a lot of horses away from your killer motor!

  • That's A LOT of big block Ford!

  • sounds like my boat engine that things mean

  • sounds like my boat engine that things mean

  • that is fucking beautiful.

  • just tryin to sort stuff out for what i hope will be a future project but do you think that much bore would be able to handle a blower say an 8-71 on top?

  • @cars463 I am not sure what you horsepower or torque goals are but In my opinion if you're shooting for more than 700 horsepower I would use an aftermarket block. Even naturally aspirated 700 h.p. is easily obtained with these big strokers. The aftermarket splayed 4 bolt block will accomodate larger cubic inch combinations, be stronger, offer better oiling in critical areas and reduce capwalk for peace of mind. Sounds like a fun build keep me posted! Greg.

  • hey m8 me again. been trying to get a cost idea on this type of stroker build. How much was your build. With or without intake and carb.Any info would be great thnx.

  • Hello man. Just watched your vid. Great sounding stroker m8! I am also in the process of a build wich I will be using the 460 as a block . You can buy fuel injection and you can pay for technology but you still cant beat the sound of a well built bigblock!! Love it man. That a old galaxie your building?

  • @defiant331 Thank you. Its hard to tell in the video but the car is a 1968 Fairlane. Good luck with your build!

  • @crazythreeonefiver hi, that big block sounds great i hope mine sounds like that..

i am building a 460 that i removed out of a 1970 lincoln,, can i do something like 454 stroker with the stock dove c heads, i will port them as well as the intake, i am not using the stock intake..

or what would be the best way you think..

    thanks in advance

  • @mascota525 You can easily make a 545 cubic inch engine with your 460! Thi engine is a mid 70's lincoln with 4.5" stroke crank 6.8" rods and .030" oversized pistons. You can also use your factory iron DOVE heads too. The heads will probably be the limiting factor BUT there have been people running NINES with ported iron in the quarter mile so..... Hell yeah do it up!

  • @crazythreeonefiver i run a 521bbf that i used to have DOVE heads on and it ran like shit.... then i went with kaase p-51s and it dropped all the bullshit along with .5 tenths off my eight mile time but im also sprayin 250 so.... i hope that can maybe help with your build.... learn from my dumbass mistakes!

  • @coonhunter5937 Yeah, I agree the p-51s are great heads. If I had pistons with the correct valve reliefs for those heads, dish volume and had not already owned a set of cnc'd Eddies I would have likely used the Kaase heads. There's always the next time but I hope it's not anytime too soon! Thanks

  • what kind of cam? im building a 545 bbf myself but with Kaase P51 heads ;))

  • @fetamobile96 The cam is a solid lifter flat tappet with @262 at .050 and 640 lift. I almost changed my build to use the P51 heads but i had already purchased the pistons and Eddies. I have read about some builds with P51 heads with very impressive numbers. Good luck with your build.

  • sweet idle. I own a BBF 533, but I am using a mild cam.

  • Is that just an old-style rubber mount set-up, or is there a engine/trans plate in there?? If it's the "rubber" style. That my friend is a NASTY engine, very well tuned I.E... timing, Balanced and idle circuit jetting spot on!!!!! The engine is dead still! Very tough to do with such high-performance!

  • @gregger454 I am using the Crites solid engine and tranny mounts with no plate. I am amazed at how the cubic inches really smooth out the cam. Very pleased with how it runs so far. Cannot wait to get some paint on the car and really drive it finally! Thanks.

  • thats gonna be one bad ride when it get finished cant wait

  • what heads???

  • Heads are the 95c.c. Edelbrock performers. They have been c.n.c. ported. Had them shaved to arrive at 10.5 to 1 compression ratio. They were not my first choice but work with the valve relief location and piston dish volume. They also retain the needed ford exhaust ports in the stock location as I needed for my headers...

  • thanks for the info, I'm stuck with the old DOVE-C cast heads. Still makes 590hp with E85 though!

  • Have you been driving it yet? I bet that it would be a blast to drive. Those dove-c heads can make some good horsepower! 590hp = ; )

  • 13.5:1 comp, .708 .712 lift, 308-328 dur, victor intake, 1150 dominator. intake ports so big a tennis ball fits! Very bad choices!!!! I thought I'd go to the strip every week, but my mortgage says once a year!

  • ha thats funny! just be glad you have a car and can go once a year!!!

  • I love it, sounds sick!
