only thing i can tell sounds bad is the room. like she's singing into a wooden box. gives it sort of the sound of being in a small club but still too much in my opinion. i like the setup!
thanks, it's bi amp, pushpull EL34 driving the the tannoy bass/mid(tweeter not connected), SE 300B for lowther...directly connected without crossover....
Interesting combination, how did you mixed the different sensitivity between the drivers?Sounds quite good,a bit "boomy" but that could also be becouse of your floor.Regards

I'm actually thinking, why would you do that? A dual concentric and a full range speaker, did you make any measurements?

I have lowther open baffle crossed over at 500hz to lowther medallion horn and then a horn subwoofer.
I use 300b for lowther also but, the medallion is so sensitive it sounds best with a 2 watt 45 amp to blend in with the open baffle.
Your tannoy is a very large speaker.Might have hard time keeping up with lowther.

@qndoc1 So you prefer the Lowther driven as a full range to using the Tannoy alone as it was designed for?
