  • Terrific. you ought to record the Presto Agitato now

  • you my friend, are a tank

  • hey men pass me the tan

  • This song is sad and scart lol the last one i thought was this onebut its this video Very Great Cover!!! P.s this songs on boom boom rocket :D

  • Superb! How could any music lover, or Beethoven lover, not like this? It is true to the original score and expertly played with feeling and sheer musicality. If Yo-yo Ma played it on Cello would they like it?

  • 25 dislikes? Whatever! This is amazing stuff!

  • @KiRiMa64 They disliked it because, like me, they know they're going to spend the next few weeks trying to learn to do this lol

  • I love this!

  • two things to help people who are interested: on a bass, the strings are thick enough to resonate a loud pitch just by hammering onto the note. this allows the use of all 8 fingers. the second thing to note, is that on a 5 string bass guitar, the extra string is actually a lower B, not a higher string. but on a 6 string bass, the higher string is added in the -standard- tuning of C or for example, the fender VI (6 string) bass had the same tuning as a guitar (EADGBE).

  • One more listen of this and I'm off to bed. :)

  • słucham na co dzień

  • OMG!!...He is amazing...

  • This is very moving :)

  • @DanniRayge1212 If you look above where it says "this video is a response to..." then a link, that link has the sheet music in the video and a link to the sheet music in the description. If you want to play classical music, I would think you have to know to read sheet music not just tabs. Even if you can't play by sight reading, you should at least be able to figure it out note by note. Also I don't think a 4 string will have enough range to play this whole piece, which is written for piano.

  • @DanniRayge1212 I think you mean "back in a few years"

  • .......Priceless......

  • Amazing.

  • perfection.

  • People who watch some of this mans videos and criticize his tapping skills on his other videos as if that is the only thing he can do. The problem is that there really are man musicians out there who are widly recognized for playing in one specific niche and staying there throughout their careers. This man is the exact opposite of that. The problem ACTUALLY is that some people cannot understand how awesome these displays of EVERY style of music you could want from a single person.

  • @asdfbobbyasdf ALSO with various instruments AND EVEN TWO AT ONCE. Haters n trollz the lot of them.

  • amazing.. =]

  • The best video of Moon light Sonata, ever. Brilliant, perfect.

  • hey man i wont ask you for tabs because i've always wanted to work this one out for myslef, but i do have one question. Are you in standard tuning for this? And thankyou for uploading your videos, you are one of the main catalysts for kick starting me into playing classical music on the bass, you've got inspirational arrangments:) so thanks

  • @gunryobassist I'd recommend you go to his channel and find his email to email him. He says he doesn't respond to YouTube messages (and presumably not comments either).

  • I love that one-note melodic line. It's so intense.

  • perfect, sublime!

  • todo el mundo deberia saber interpretar el bajo asi.... es realmente impresionante.. felicitaciones!

  • very nice,,, bass fits this song perfect ~!~

  • This is absolutely fantastic. musicians like you are the reason I jnow playing bass was the way to go. So many endless possibilities.

  • man i just cnt stop pressing the like button....this is amazing stuff. the last 48 views have been mine in less than 10 hours!

  • koi uszy... oj koi

  • this goes to show you everything sounds better with a bass

  • awesome

  • You've made my love of my favorite classical piece even greater.

  • that's really cool :) Any chance of third movement? I know it's not likely, but I would be amazed (not that I'm not already)

  • Perfect for my afternoon and so happy that I stumbled onto this clip... quæ pulchra erant

  • I saw this video and it was awesome! I liked! And then I saw Cliff Burton Tribute To Live Is To Die, I immediately subbed

  • When I play my Bass, everybody clearly can hear, thats Steel strings. They drone and vibrate hardly.

But here it sounds so soft and flanelly.

How you do that? your technique dont work with my bass.

  • @DEFYINGgravityDE Its all about how softly you can pick the strings. This technique works on my bass perfectly. Or maybe it's the type of strings you use? i use power slinky.

  • @DEFYINGgravityDE You can hear it just a little bit on here. I was thinking Flatwound strings but those are hard to tap on. lol I don't know what this dude's amazing technique is!

  • This was dreadfully beautiful! This is my favorite song of all time and you did such a wonderful job of bringing the bass guitar and moonlight sonata together. Bravo! I think I'm in love ;)

  • is this all played at once or is there a backing track playing?

  • @XIIOniOokamiXII It's all at once. He uses this technique called double handed tapping which lets him play two parts at once.

  • @WarPigsLukesWall i figured thats what it was. but i couldn't tell if his fingers were moving at certain points haha this guy is amazing

  • even his eyebrowns are epic

  • Outstanding

  • Subbed.

  • This is what god plays when he's on the loo

  • awesome

  • so .. so epic..

  • verdammt gut...:D

  • where do you get the sheet music for this? or did you just transpose it from the original score?

  • just too beautiful...

  • Yabba Dabba Doo!

  • bass rulez! suck this guitar .i.

  • shia le beufs dad is good at bass lol

  • Wow.. Bravo you're a genius

  • again...what an amazing performance!

  • Extremely difficult & extremely beautiful. You are a hero to do it.

By the way, that man is right. No way for the third movement.

  • How would you interprete Jacques Bono?

  • Jacques Bono?

  • I was really stressed, and I just started listening to varios covers of Moonlight Sonata. It doens't get old.

  • congratulatios. thats its just beatiful...

  • how did a deaf man write this and how can this dude play it it all on a guitar hes amazing?!

  • @dustinman123 It's a bass... >.>

  • @WarPigsLukesWall its a bass guitar if it was a bass it would set up right and we would have a bow....>.>

  • @dustinman123 You get what I mean.

  • Comment removed

  • 7 nonmusical people have listened to this.

  • that´s so beautiful!!! i wish to play like that way =D,awesome!!!

  • You believe Beethoven was a genius.

And I believe YOU ARE the genius.

  • awesome!!!!

  • I will do ANYTHING...

to get him to play this in my funeral.

  • @gallespaul be careful what you wish for....

  • nice work............

  • impressive

  • :O.....!

  • I'm absolutely fascinated!!!! I love Beethoven, but that was absolutely speechless. And this video in black & white suit for this type of music perfectly. I hope that somebody, someday would find out about you and your talent!!! It would be really worth it!!! Congratulations!!! I'm playing this on piano, but that was really amazing!!!

    Bravo...... :))

    Naprawde swietne :D

  • Beethoven himself would be proud of it!

  • AWESOME ! ! !

I LOVE THE CONSISTENCY IN SOUND BETWEEN PIZZICATO AND TAPPED NOTES!

    BRAVO ! ! !

  • Holy crap. This is awsome.

  • the black and white thing makes it scary.. O.o

  • Beautifully played! Well done!

  • q genial!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • RIDICULOUS!!!

  • I don't suppose anyone might know where to find the sheet music for this arrangement...???

  • If u play the3 rd movement ill name my first son later gregor.

  • @PallaBallaa ahahahahahahahaha

  • im speechless...this is beautiful music! wow!

  • I came here thinking that I could learn it... just to realize that this is far beyond my abilities with the bass, I'm speechless

  • @CoTeCiOMusicDivision I did the same thing. but there are no boundaries to our bass skills, just be patient and keep playing ;)

  • this is amazing

  • Świetna robota ;>

  • are the strings lowered? those taps sound really clean, no fret buzz, anyway, ur vids kick ass, especially this one and the cliff burton one.

  • Great! Love it. Thanks for posting

  • JESUS!!! this is perfection in every aspect of the word! ~you didn't so much as stutter of rhythm AT ALL even one time! Every note was so clear and defined!... Jesus, just JESUS! ............. that was amazing

  • Thank you.

  • Grzegorz, krasne. Pozdravujem so Slovenska.

  • this alone makes me ask my god for a gift to equal this.

  • the shadow lurking behind you as well as the way your fingers eerily crawl around the fretboard perfectly complement the piece. beautiful!

  • I just wanna sit in a room with you for like a week so you can teach me this

  • beautiful!

  • PLEASE NEVER STOP PLAYING THE BASS...

  • This actually inspired to make my next bass a 6 string.

  • @AtyncX SAME HERE. I wouldn't be suprised of some Metallers did classical.

  • if you watch his live one that he played in front of a crowd it's not nearly as good as this one. I wonder why.

  • @SeanGann1 fortunately, human beings are supposed to improve their skills during their lifetime :)

  • @SeanGann1 The other explanation is that what's played live is played in front of an audience without do-overs, and what comes out is what comes out. Studio recordings like this involve several takes, and the best take is used or the best parts are spliced together to eliminate any errors. When I record a video it usually takes 5 or 6 tries to get the poor performances I come up with.

Live performances always have clinkers included that can't be fixed in post production, because there isn't any.

  • how this does not have millions of views is beyond me!!

  • incredible man...

  • That! is how it's done :D

    Just awesome, man.

    *thumbs up*

  • @AtyncX _Me Too Man--This Is Kick Ass!

    Venezuela!

  • I've had this shit on replay for days

  • Hey,where can i find the sheet music for this?(For bass too XD)

  • A mixture of being able to do this stuff, Victor wootens stuff and Jaco pastorius would make any Bassist a god :D

  • So fuckin excelent!

  • Awesomeeee jobbb

  • This is beautiful! The bassist in me melted. <3

  • i think you should make the 3rd movement

  • the skill level in this is absolutely astonishing cuz i cant tap or slap and ive been playing for about 2 years... just incredible man

  • This deserves so many views! i can't get over how good you are!

  • I play this song on 6-string guitar in the key of A minor, but you can actually not only pull it off on bass, but can cover the whole tonality in C# minor. Dude, you have definitely impressed me!!! Excellent performance!

  • Fuck due!!! Amazing play xD

  • Ele é muito booomm

    Adoro

  • breath taking.your a true master

  • Now play the 3ed movement. xD

  • @DrShpilev 3rd

  • @tghayes

    You dont say. =)

  • I play bass and this is so inspiring for me! Your awesome man!

  • 2:33 - 3:33

One of the darkest moments in music history (yes I realize the start is mostly just a diminished sequence).

  • YES!!!!! 1st bassist I've seen on YouTube that plays this piece right. Props to you for capturing the essence.

  • what is better for moonlight sonata than bass guitar...

  • 6 people tried to play this.

  • @analcunthead LAWL haha you sayin' cuz of the 6 dislikes? 6 jealous douches...

  • @analcunthead so true

  • woow

  • @AtyncX i second that bro!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Any chance you'll play the third movement some day? That would for sure rock. :D

  • @AtyncX dude metal owes everything to classical music. some of the best metal instrumentalists are classically trained - yngwie malmsteen, randy rhoads, cliff burton, whoever. classical stuff IS proper music.

  • @jimmyshitbags i hoate how yngwie only does scales, i wish hed do more than just that.

not relevent but im just wondering if anyone else is with me on this one

  • ''I believe Beethoven was a genius.'' and so are you ;)

  • Beethoven>Burzum

  • I didnt even know this piece was possible on bass. nice job.

  • @TheGreenohio822

anything is possible when you have the pick of destiny

  • This piece takes me away. Something about it is dark and aboding......yet masterfully intriguing...love it !

  • This is the kind of music they must play in heaven. The most beatiful piece I've ever heard!

  • This is the kind of music they must play in heaven. The most beatiful piece I've ever heard!

  • man youre amazing i dont listen to metal or anything like that like alot of these people listenin but this is....dark....but still beutifully btilliant

  • Does he have a CD?

  • this dude playing gave me the chills. i think this song sounds like something you would here if they remade the first legend of zelda, haha

  • when i first saw the 6 strings, I was like ohhhhh shiiiitttt

  • This is beautiful. This is, by far, the best I've heard it rendered on Bass.

  • how the friggin hell!?

  • Beautifull! Could you give me your fretboard dimensions(at the nut and the 24th fret)? And the string spacement at the bridge and the nut?

    Thanks you very much

(I'm french so my english is not perfect.. At all.)

  • You rule Mr Dracula

  • pretty saweeeeet....

  • pretty saweeeeet

  • Emocionante...parabéns!

  • You should do a cover of schism by tool

    would be amazing

  • @TheLOUDMUSIC haha that would be way too easy for Mr. Dracula bro xD a good version of schism is done by 7sloth though =P

  • excuse me while I try to piece together the shattered remains of my head after it exploded. lost chord hits=mind eruption

  • I have never heard anyone play a more accomplished version of the first movement on a stringed instrument.
