I did ibogaine in 2001 it was alright for withdrawal but does nothing for continual recovery. I was back on opiates within a couple of months. I wouldn't waste the money you would be better off going to 12 step meetings and withdrawing slowly from methadone.
@MrMedicinebox you are the first talking a bit negative about iboga.but i have a question, didnt you have these hallucinations during iboga?i mean like iboga showing you who you really are.and like iboga reversing the moment that you got addicted?i like to know cause my brother in law is a terrible alcoholic.so please inform me.bb
@witchcerridwen Their were some hallucinations, but big deal I could have done that with Acid. As far as any great enlightenment or philosophical realization I would say not. However, as I said in my previous post, it did help with the acute withdrawal. To what extent it is hard for me to ascertain because I did it in a medical environment and was giving liquid morphine in small doses for the first 5 days of detox before being treated on the 5th day.
@witchcerridwen Further: Because I wasn't treated until the fifth day, I have always wondered if I had gone through the worst of the detox. You mention Alcohol, that is a different detox than opiates and I don't know how it would work for that. Ibogaine could very well help with the detox, Keep in mind a lot of these testimonials are from people that have just been treated and are still in clinic. I'd like to see them all a year later. The first step is getting off the juice though. g. luck
i'd say also that brett has only experienced a handfull of days when the thought of using pills crossed his mind but left just as quick. But remember - you have to be in a state of mind where YOU DON'T WANT TO DO THEM ANYMORE. Its easy to fall off the wagon with any treatment - but without ibogaine he'd still be visiting the clinic every week getting his methodone and i was getting sick of that trip. and we don't go there anymore - thanks to quick fix of ibogaine.
brett's wife here again... it's been over six months now and it's not true that withdrawals come back with a vengence.... not true at all. He has had zero withdrawals like he was having just prior to the treatment when we arrived and his withdrawals kicked in
he has stayed off pills and is doing good. He did have a long recovery for strength and energy to get back... but no mental anything. He's fine and clean. and he moving forward.

@jmibci do you think it works for people who are terrible addicts?like my brother in law.he thinks life is all about party and hes a lazy arsewhole.he should stop.but can you force somebody?i mean if hes a threat to himself and others?
If you are an addict - please please please do yourself the favour and do this for yourself and your loved ones. I'm so happy and proud of my husband and it really really works and I feel we have a life again. I intend to tell as many people about this as I can - through the media - through the internet - whatever it takes- this stuff works!! It's a life saver.
I saw it with my own eyes - and everything my husband is saying in this video is completely true. I have my husband back!!!
I was always afraid that my husband would die from all he has done and now those fears are gone. We are a new couple and drugs are not the mistress anymore. He's all mine and we're happy and we have Lex, Joy, Lilly and Ricky D and the gift of ibogaine to thank. It's amazing and the world needs to know about this !!!.
I also experienced ibogaine. I am not an addict but did it strictly for the experience. I too have felt the effects of this wonder root. I had very high anxiety and a major sleeping problem. I am now calmer and happy again and sleeping great. No waking up in a panic attack since my experience.
I am Brett's wife and I was there for the entire treatment and I can say first hand that Ibogaine REALLY works. It's beyond amazing. My husband is clean!! He has NO desire for any drugs and even drinking is a thing of the past. I watched the process and watched as he arrived in major withdrawl. Within a short period of arriving and receiving ibogaine, the withdrawls stopped and my husband was resting. After his treatment he is now a new man with a brand new outlook on life.
@Eurotrash4367 It doesnt work, trust me..Once the ibogaine wores off the withdrawals come back with a vengence, that I promise you, its a placebo if anything, it also messes you up mentallity, I know a lady who was taken into a mental facility as ibogaine messed with her brain cells. Be careful man..If your thinking it will take away withdrawals then your right, it does take away 95% of withdrawals BUT those 95% withdrawals are stored in the body and come back once iboga wears down. I know.
@SonyaOOOlights I have been on Methadone 20yrs.since I was 18.It was stupid. I thought it was like heroin in terms of addictioin & was at 1st.I spent a lot of time in Greece etc. chasing but stopped at 24.Unfortunately,I've been on Methadone ever since. At 24-30mgs.28-100mgs.I've tried 24hr.detox and the I.C. I have nearly killed me.I want to try Ibogaine.what's the story?
@apokryphos117g Story is that withdrawals and PAWS come back after few days, that I can promise you, also there side-affects of iboga are real, chance of getting mentally disable. At the most it gives short acting opiate addicts respite, but is not going to work for long acting opiates such as methadone, buprenorphine etc, that everybody says.
@SonyaOOOlights Thanx 4 saving me $.I've done the rapid detox & all it did was make my I.C. worse not 2 mention the shabby treatment. What you said about ibogaine working 4 short-term addicts sounds like rapid detox. For me,it was a choice of pain killers or methadone & though I like 2 party, being high everyday is something I couldn't do,I have a life! I want off methadone since there have been recent medical breakthroughs on I.C. I had no idea methadone was so addictive.I'm so desperate 2get off!
@apokryphos117g why are you so desperate to get off?im on a dose of methadone for more than ten yrs now and i do all the things i wanna do.yes ofcourse its better to be totally off pills as well.but think about it this way,,,if you stop totally you will get the urge to get high again.maybe you should accept the fact that you are on pills and love yourself and enjoy life.dont beat yourself up all the time.
u may b rite- but i red it causes rapid detox and changes attitde 2 Using again. BILL WILLSON(?)- inentor of-AA- he got off using-LSD-(legally) and got the BIG BOOK of AA while on-LSD
---maybe a hier dose needed?
ME-10 yrs@100mg-went 7 days on gabapenton w/o pain-thought -a miracle- but pain came-strong- couldnt last-gab stoped workin @ any dose---good news-it did cut dose to 50mg
@SonyaOOOlights same with me ive done ibogine twice and the withdrawals came right back and the depression was even worse. i like to see testimony when people are not at the clinic
