zedbout do you play basketball? you have to take a look at - (50-inch-vertical(dot)com). I highly recommend it! I m 5 5 and started dunking after 4 weeks of the training!
zedbout, reminds me of why I watch basketball, along with all the bloopers. If you can't dunk yet, you have to start training. I definitely recommend you to try the one I'm using - (50 inch vertical [dot] com) - I m 5 7 and I can dunk!
zedbout dude, just what else is there to say?. Anyone who owns or plays with a bball need to all know the way to dunk, I only a short time ago finished the training system at 50inch vertical[dot]com - It's' great! (I m merely 5'10!)
anybody else other than just zedbout tested out the nba exercise course for dunking and shooting? Even players like Kobe Bryant, Ray Allen and Arenas have suggested this course. If you have no idea what's going on, just look at 50inch vertical[dot]com
zedbout If you play bball at all, you have to take a look at this - 50inch vertical[dot]com - It's a unique workout that will def help you begin dunking without even going to the local gym it's not required
zedbout Are you a baller? you have to take a look at this - |vert jump training(dot) com| - It's a unique training program that will def help you start dunking without even going to the gym if you don t want to!
The Hawks were nowhere near what they had been in their "Air Force" days. Bringing in Moses Malone and Reggie Theus was a MAJOR mistake... MAJOR.
Yeah, the Hawks were pretty good this season, but they weren't what they had been! Look at how porous the defense is with Malone instead of Tree Rollins!
Also, firing Mike Fratello was a mistake. Trading Antoine Carr for Kenny Smith was a mistake. No shot at Kenny, but our guards were out due to injury, and they let go of Kenny after that anyway!!!!!
That's because they primarily were baseball announcers.
Skip Carey announced Braves games on WSB for decades. However, early in his career, he did announce Hawks games (long before this clip). Every once in a while, he'd announce a Hawks game, if it were on TBS, the station that aired Braves games daily (up to 2007).
The Hawks are what brought Skip to Atlanta in the first place. Skip announced for them when they were the St. Louis Hawks (his dad did the Cardinals games for years, so he was born and raised in St. Louis). When the Hawks moved to Atlanta, so did Skip. Once he came to Atlanta, he was hired by the Braves.
The Omni was the place to be for me growing up. That place had it all (Ice skating rink, videogame arcade, CNN, and the Hawks). I hope Philips arena can have the same memories with time (Rip Skip).
Wow the old Omni in Atlanta. I haven't seen a classic game from there in a long time. I was in that building several times for Hawks games and WCW wrestling events.
I like the uniforms both Pacers and Hawks were wearing during this time period. And the old Omni I like the older arenas, I just think they made the sports seem more "magestic".
Ahh, I was a season ticket holder back then. And if I recall, the team wasn't that good in 1991 and folks still went to the games because they at least had an exciting product to root for and went to the playoffs every year (unlike today).
And say what you want about the old Omni, not too many visiting team won games there when the Hawks were good. Ask Bird, MJ, and Magic how easy it was to win in that building...
Man this brings back memories of when the Hawks were good and TBS was a watchable network back when they had the Hawks, Braves and NWA/WCW wrestling. Ted Turner was the man.
Don't forget the Bill Tush Show. I was watching about 2:20am. Tush and the rest of the late night news crew put their helmets on and crawled under the desk at the sound of sirens as red flashing lights filled the room. "Skylab is falling", Tush screamed. Sobered me up real quick.
Nope, Philips Arena was built on the exact same spot the Omni once stood. If you ever visit Philips, you'd see the old Omni center scoreboard hanging in the lobby area.
I wonder why they demolish old arenas and build new ones. Is it for safety reasons or purely financial ones? I think it could be some of both but mostly financial to make more money off a brand new structure to improve ticket sales and hype over the team turning over a new leaf. I think the same is true for when new paint is coated on the arena floor or when the name of the arena is changed on the court. I think it is to get more money to stay in business or attract more fans.
Absolutely wonderful video! Thank you for this, wonder where you got it? I'm from Minnesota and a Timberwolves fan, but I'm also a very strong and long time Hawks fan from the Dominique era. I love those old uniforms and logo.. man I wish they could go back to those instead of these new ugly blue ones... what were they THINKING?! Go Hawks!
you know what i like about dominique is that he's not a selfish player like some other star players that never pass the ball. in that play at 5:00 he couldve easily dunked but passed to spud. and the 2 also worked as a team to get the ball from detlef, real good teamwork makes a team truly great, i think
wow good old days.....early 90's atlanta hawk home games on TBS....classic. 137-110 final score, teams nowadays couldnt score that if you gave them 7 overtimes..lol
Nique is the man. Look at the spin move and the Thunder Dunk. The old Hawks teams were non stop action packed, and yes the organ music is a true bonus. # 21 4 ever..
I am from Milwaukee and grew up a die hard Bucks fan, but i remember when the Bucks would go down to Atlanta to play the Hawks and were on TV, I would always make sure to watch those games---just cause i loved that organ music at The Omni sooo much. Even though we never had that awesome music here, i had to appreciate the few and far between times id watch em play Atlanta on TV
Wow I actually went to this game. I was 10 years old at the time. And the organ music was always great at the Omni. And yes that is Skip Caray and Rick Barry doing the game on the old Superstation TBS.
Bring back the organ music....and the little twinklie notes after the free throws.....Atlanta should create the classic atmosphere to remind themselves of what they could be again. They are not far from being contenders. Just tell the GM to draft a point guard for goodness sakes.
From 1976-1996 I probably attended 300-400 Hawks games at The Omni (who knows, I might have attended this one). Thanks for the awesome reminder of the old days, especially the organ music they played in the arena.
The organ music was live, and the player paid attention the game. When the Hawks would go on a fast break, he/she would start playing "Charge!" music, and when the ball was kicked out to a shooter and he let it go, the organ would hang on a single note while the ball was in the air. If the shot missed, the organ would make a quick, negative note. If the ball went in, the organ would play a few seconds of triumphant, churchy music to celebrate. The organ was like an extension of the crowd.
