Hello,I am intrested in this product. Can you please tell me the difference between the FSK 401 & FSK 101 ? I heard that this product eats up batterys and that the installation of a
" Wall Wart " with the right volts would be advised. Does this make sense? what does this mean? Would you install that? Your intallation looks very professional. I would like to to do business with you I just need to do my homework on this product before involving my Dad thanks. Please reply.
It will change your tone you will lose your current neck pickup of course. And the 401 bridge pickup is very hot and sounds nothing like the PRS pickups. You could keep your prs bridge pickup and not use the 401. But Medium output pickups do not work as well for a sustainer guitar the sustainer will be weaker with medium out put pickups. I would need at least $300 to install it for you. plus The kit plus shipping.
@liquidmusicstorecom Hello why not fit the sustainer in between the two PRS pickups instead of sacrificing the neck pickup? Especially since the wiring is what makes the PRS so versatile. Thanks
@liquidmusicstorecom: I just bought a PRS Tremonti Signature and LOVE the tone, finish..everything. I have 2 Fernandes Guitars with sustainer. BUT...I have a hard time wanting to play anything other than my PRS. It would be awesome to have the sustainer in the PRS, but I'm afraid it would mess with the tone or the beautiful finish. Tone change for you on the Custom 24? any opinion or input would be greatly appreciated. BTW, how much would you charge to put in the sustainer 401? Thanks
that guitar is beautiful ...im thinking about getting one soon in cherry red ..and that sustainer is just bad ass ..it adds a lot to your playing and sound..cool vid man
Fantastic - great install, tone, and playing! As a Bassist, my idea of a "Dream Reasonable Guitar" is a PRS Singlecut Trem SE with a Fernandes Sustainer or Manic Music Sustainiac Driver/Pickup. As you can imagine, I'm a huge fan of Phil Collen of Def Leppard and other Sustainer/Ebow-using guitarists.
The sustainer is a neck pickup and must be in the neck position.

How long did it take you? Would it be better to just hire someone to install it? I have no experience with soldering or anything.

I want one in an LP with a tremolo. Burny makes them like that but they're too expensive.

Is this the 401 or the 101? Can both do the dual mix phasing?
