I have this gun, and it's based on the Walther CP Sport (Double Action Only). Not the CP99 which I also have and is double and single action. You can cock it by pulling the rear section of the slide back and releasing it. The rear section of the Walther Nighthawk's slide does not move because it is actually a CP Sport.

Like they said, it's a red dot sight, but to answer your question, people sometimes put scopes on pistols for better accuracy, especially at longer distances. Same as with a rifle.

u can't get the compensator, cuz at the muzzle for nighthawk they make a special drill groove so u can put the compensator on (also comes with a muzzle cover incase u don't want the compensator on) but the cp sport lacks that groove

Gun safety...

Only put that finger on the trigger when you are ready to shoot. Especially if you remove the safety lock.

It might sound silly and you might feel that it's over the board but by treating any gun as loaded and dangerous you'll never have a mis happen.

Just my two cents.
