Of course what is really happening is a rare opportunity to witness the mating ritual of the Diggerus Diggerus - not easy due to its gangly disposition. But with some intricate manoeuvres and rather precarious positions and amid much clanking and clattering we can conclude from the guttural guffaws and yaahoos of the local peasantry that mating has indeed been completed. We await with trepidation the clatter of tiny buckets around the boggy wetlands of Cuil Aodha in the near future.
