  • Gee I am finding video,s I haven,t seen before. This one is GREAT !!! THANKS.

  • @kentwesterly Many Thanks Kent :-)

  • What a nice sound! Great job communicating that hymn and text!! Tempo is very "urging" for singers to sing! Good!!

  • @davlber221 Many thanks yes it's a great sound thanks for watching :-)

  • A grand hymn to process to. This is especially great with a fully stoked and smoking thurible!!!!

  • @corywil1 Many Thanks for watching and it is too cheers :-)

  • We sing it this fast. I love it. Thanks.

  • @ShelleyinTX Cheers!

  • I felt it was WAY too fast -- and not varied at all with each succeeding verse .... but just my opinion.

  • @jeffward920 My oppinion is this in most Churches I have heard this being played dreadfuly slow would you want that or would you want a bit of "Zip" to get people going? Please remember this was recorded over 4 Years ago!

  • @jeffward920 Depending on the room and accoustical environment. I'm not familiar with this room but I can say the organist is "prompting" the singers. Too fast? Not at all read the text. The organist is communicating the text by tempo and registration exceptionally well!!

  • loved it.

  • @Beeglemon many thanks glad you enjoyed :-)

  • Incredible, spirited performance of one of the more difficult common tunes. Personally, I think the tempo is just right for the size of the building; when a vigourous hymn has many verses, as here, a slow pace can make the thing drag along like a weary snake. A very large building, e.g. a cathedral, would demand a slower pace to avoid it becoming a muddle of sound. Here, it is just right. Thanks Rob :)

  • @JamesEncliffe Thanks James you have hit the nail on the head here much appreciated :-)

  • Thank you. We will be singing this great hymn 12/4/11.

  • @ronaldusfree1 Many Thanks and I am too! :-)

  • One of the most difficult hymns to play and yet have it be clear and smooth enough for congregational participation. Excellent job!

  • @jensen820 Many Thanks well said :-)

  • @jensmom604 Comments like that are not welcome here, it seems to me your not an organist minus no videos of your own to go and sit in the corner and suffer!!!

  • I love to play this at church, and I love to hear others play it. Sounds great! Very majestic and lively -- as it should be played.

  • @longboardjeff Many Thanks indeed I'm glad you enjoyed :-)

  • Happy All saints Day

  • @125wake Many Thanks I will be doing a video for All Saints day tomorrow.

  • Great touch but please keep the pedal line legato throughout

  • This is heavenly!

  • @marajade510 Many Thanks :-)

  • Hello again Rob!!! Before I went to bed I had to listen to my favorite hymn of all time played by you!!! You play it at the PERFECT tempo, and all the pipes roaring as wide open as they can, with the bass walking back and forth through the enfire hymn!!! I absolutely love to hear you play this and all the others you play!!! NO ONE ON YOU TUBE PLAYS LIKE YOU!!!

  • @Grandlakeguy22 Many Thanks I'm glad keep watching! :-)

  • Ich glaube, er spielte wirklich alle Strophen ;-)

  • @danielmoeller Speak English Please.

  • @RobCharles1981 Try Google translator or learn German, French, Luxembourgesh or Dutch please.

  • Lord have mercy, if our organist played it that fast, the choir would have to run down the aisle!

  • @jensmom604 :-)

  • @jensmom604 .... LOL, our choir would've missed the whole service!

  • Thanks for the fast version- as it is a song of rejoicing, I like the fast version better. Very well done!

  • @shichibukaicrocodile Many Thanks I've been in most services in the past and the way the Organist plays this drags on like a tortouise!

  • VERY WELL done Rob. They played this at my aunt's funeral 6 months ago.

  • @phildaddy4 Many Thanks Phil I'm sure your arnt was singing along in heaven at the time.

  • I've sang to this on many a church parade in my service days. Listening to this at home and having a sing along certainly stirs the heart.

  • @MrKeengardener Many Thanks Indeed I'm glad you enjoyed this one! :-)

  • I was so taken with this rendition I had to come back and have another listen. If our American organists would only speed it up to this level perhaps it wouldn't be regarded as only a hymn for funerals and All Saints Day. It should be glorious just as you've played it, after all, it is about all the saints of God.

  • @MrObservatoryview Many Thanks for the kind comment much appreciated indeed! :-)

  • Superbly spirited, as it should be!

  • @MrObservatoryview Many Thanks! :-)

  • A little on the fast side, but as one correspondent said , with this tempo, one can sing it quite ROBUSTLY (as it should be sung). Ralph Vaughan Williams, you are a marvel!! £ance.

  • @lancybabe Thanks.

  • I like this tempo! I have listened to four or five versions of this fine hymn in YouTube, and they are all too slow or too fast. This is a tempo to which one can sing robustly.

  • @jorobinson Many Thanks for that! :-)

  • very good except to fast

  • @34ambulance Thanks, its Not Fast thats the correct way to play it.

  • Very moving, perhaps the best rendition I have heard on YouTube and I listened to a lot of them! I miss this kind of music, since when I attended Tenth Presbyterian Church in Philiadelphia.

  • Hi Rob, have you done a rendition of "All creatures of our God and King"?

  • @ukcelticpride Yeah I have somewhere!

  • One of my very favorite hymns of all time.

  • @CraigNCTV Many Thanks for watching!

  • excellent!

  • Hallowe'en evening and I anticipate this glorious hymn tomorrow morning. It is, perhaps, the greatest hymn in all of Christendom. Glorious presentation here.

    Thank You.

  • @NuovoPiero Many Thanks and I hope you enjoyed the video!

  • does the video jump a bit at the start? I saw some flashes?

  • @AuntieGavioli It was a software and comp spec problem at the time.

  • Excellent

  • @sevencorsa Thanks!

  • @sevencorsa Many Thanks!

  • What an excellent job. I cant wait till i play as good as you!! lol

  • Many Thanks! :-)

  • When I got the chill that runs up my spine from the fiery chorus reeds and mixtures you used for this song, I can tell there is a skilled touch at the heart of this instrument, Magnificent, It makes me proud to know someone out there that can justify this song in every aspect. Your representation of all us organists that put hard work and dedication to delivering the Lord's work through the sound of the Organ is much appreciated. Thanks for the post.

  • Your Really Welcome, thank you for your kind comment, remember to Subscribe to my channel if you haven't yet done so! XD

  • One of my favorites!! Sounds great!!

  • thanks for the comment much appreciated.

  • Cheers.

Five Stars. Gave me chills as I started listening. The way it's suppose to be played!

  • Many Thanks For That Really Appreciated!

  • Lovely, Rob. I can't take part in the technical discourse going on here but I find your rendition impressive, nonetheless. Top marks!

  • Cheers for the comments!!

  • Thanks Rob for all of your recent ones. Your new video editing is quite fine and you're doing a great job with it.

I don't know of any Conacher's here in the US. Is the company still in business? How are they regarded in the UK?

  • Cheers Wayne, Computer at the moment can't quite handel the HD its why you see the flickering at the start for some reason.

The Conachers they are good all depends what you have ect you would have seen Richard PipeOrganHymns Channel on that Conacher, I have a Conacher in one of my Churches which is an 1898! So there are a lot of them around.

  • Wow! Another cracker - this is so "Cathedral" like - both the instrument and standard of playing. See if you can get a go on the organ at Westminster Abbey sometime!!!!

  • Cheers Chris - Do you have 5.1 Surround Speakers? You can really feel the bass coming through! Well never say never with Westminster Abbey!

  • Im afraid I dont - something to ask Father Christmas for!! I'll look forward to the Westminster vids! :-)

  • Aye! I may have a chance to have a crack at an Allen Organ soon.

  • What kind of Allen is it do you know?

  • I think its a Quantem 2 Manual.

  • I hav played an Allen Elite organ they are amazingly realistic

  • Dont think they would like me at Westminster Abbey! I wouldnt be able to resist playing summit jazzy!!! lol

  • Your the Master! Love this hymn, I thought you were a good organist since I've known you, but the last month or so you have played better & better dare I say Professional even! Well Done Rob, and thanks for these videos....We luv Em! :-0

  • Cheers Paul very much appreciated, this took me a good 4 Hours or so to upload this did! a 759mb file HD1080 XD

  • I know how you feel , the quality is Out of this world, but the uploading is a nightmare! Can you upload to youtube through pinicale? I use my video editing software to upload HD and it takes Half the time, but the same quality!!

  • I think I can upload through pinnacle, what software do you use? I'm currently on Version 14 HD.

  • I use Magix Movie Edition 15..
