Computer models predicting the climate are incapable of being validated. They predict what their programmers have adjusted their numerous fiddle factors to predict. Just about all climatologists think CO2 is a green house gas and is warming the planet. All the worlds scientific institutions agree man is the overwhelming cause of the warming (find me a single one that does not). 104 of the 178 living Nobel prize winners agree (find a single Nobel prize winner who doesn't).

You also seem to forget these things aren't always instant. The Late Devonian extinction is believed to have taken 20,000,000 years. Humans have been around for a fraction of that. One theory for that even was increased Volcanism. If that was to happen again, how would cutting back on fossil fuels stop it? Volcano's are far beyond are current ability to control. Only when we are so advanced we can manipulate matter will we be able to stop things like that.
