  • Umm, I would say lighten up, and maybe get outside and get some fresh air?

  • better than sex

  • Can someone explain to me "Whats maximum vertical climb? The thing that only american can do??? :))))

  • That's the coolest!

  • Another WSO, I like reviewing other aircrafts from other AF's around the world, but there is so many desperate people who may never be a fighter pilot, I'm an F/A-18 Super Hornet Pilot for the RAAF, and if you guys want help? Message me.

  • At 0:59 seconds the sound disappeared because they left the atmosphere!

  • @16vr6

Really? I thought that to left the atmosphere you had to reach an altitude of about 110 km (+ or - 10 km).

Are you saying that he left the atmosphere in 46 sec ?

  • @Zhak7 Umm, here in America, we make jokes...

  • Do us a favour and look at the video again, when he levels off you can clearly see the sky above him is blue with white clouds so how the fuck can he be on the edge of space.

  • Contact tower...wait contact departure...wait contact center

  • I WANT HIS JOB!!!

  • dnt turn around u might crash

  • just a regular day at the office

  • Not vertical at any moment.......weird title......

  • Fourteenth floor, Men's haberdashery.

  • holy fucking shit!!!

  • Underneath that mask, a HUGE smile appears

  • Was this at Hill AFB?

  • they look so cool

  • Saw this on 10/27/2010 at KGWO when I took my private pilot checkride.

  • If you look closely, you can tell by the look on the pilot's face (and it's tough to see, but focus) that even with the G-Suit and countless hours of training, he is fighting the effects of the G-force being slammed against his entire body. You have to be one strong and tough motherfucker to take that kind of a pull on your body. You can literally feel your guts churn in slight agony while you're fighting off a 'blackout' like an exhausted long haul trucker fighting to stay awake on the road.

  • I don't wanna go to Ireland!!

  • I want this job so damn bad!!!! I don't even need to be payed!!!

  • What an awesome job to have - PERIOD!!!

  • @couragio235 That Job is high high presure. Your expectation of learning is massive even close to impossible. Like this

You get in the aircraft for the first time after the PC-9.

"Ok today you will be shown flat spin and recovery, You will be shown once and only once. You be asked to attempt it yourself. You will be give one and only one attempt. Then you will be asked to repeat it. In that round you will be assessed."

You fail, your out of the course

  • Where you at Tyndall AFB?!

  • That's Going "Up-Hill" in a hurry...

  • If you are vertical or near vertical it is easier to roll inverted to level off then push it over into negative g.

  • how the hell did he pull up if he's holding the camera with both of his hands?

  • @Megalodon64 Hes the co pilot hes not flying the pilot is in front of him flying

  • @911turbo5 i have watched lot of videos of maximum vertical of f-15 they all look same why ? I mean first they go up and then aircraft turns upside down 0:52- 0:55 and back on normal 1:00..why they all do same ?

  • This is one of the basic tests after engine maintenance in the F16s.

They take off and they stay just few feet above the runway to get speed, then they pull up vertically, roll and then fly horizontally

  • @nick22934 positive g's are easier to cope with than negative g's so they pull back on the stick to go inverted instead of pushing forward. then of course they flip over afterwards just so they can be the right way up :P

  • what do u do when u go for the vertical? like what do u do to not black out?

  • I thought this was called a performance takeoff, cause that's what an F-16C pilot from the 144th FW told me..

  • bobbucv64, u r retarded that was a fuckin runway, there was no catapult or ship

  • 0:37 is when i'd freak out and probably crash.

"ooh this is fun... im goin pretty fast... lets go up... OH FUCK IM SO HIGH IN THE AIR"

  • And after tech school, its still more learning, it really doesnt ever end.

  • nice i thing he is lucky i didnt stall or lose engine throtle on this altudide

  • lucky

  • Anyone who thinks this is the best job in the world have never worked in a coal mine!

  • lucky bastard

  • So scary but would be cool

  • The words balls ... of .... and steel come to mind :D

  • Shorkot Airbase

  • Is that Tyndall AFB?

  • @airnicholai I think your right, stationed at Tyndall AFB eight years...

  • @slammin2552 Yeah thats gotta be it because my hoouse in florida is right near there! and nice!

  • its like being in outer space... it doesn't matter if your right side up or upside down. he's just flying. 0:53

  • you lucky bastard !

  • homestead air base?

  • Kramer in Seinfeld wanted to commit suicide because he never became a banker - i want to commit suicide because i never became a pilot! :(

  • @Kurac80 so do I :'(

  • @Kurac80 Why not? Keep trying, nothing is impossible

  • I want to ride in a fighter jet. and I want the pilot to drive it so fucking hard. I want to black out.

  • @atypicalmystery same here haha

  • i personally think he was just checkin the view when he was lokkin back like that, for him..this is effortless.

  • ordinary................

  • ugh, i work on the ground all day, dont get me wrong, its rewarding but id love to be doing that!

  • @mylifelike13 you a crewchif? lol im sheetmetal!! haha

  • @289torker

    nope im Airfield Management

  • @mylifelike13 your Airfield Management? Thats the my number 1 job I put down for when i enlisted in the Air Force. I'm still waiting to get a job, but could you tell me about it from your point of view?

  • @cabfab6 Well then you should probably get it because its way undermanned. Basically thejob is a bit diferent at every base, but we have to know every single thing about the airfield, literally everything. The reason being, were the ones who make sure every thing out there meets air force regulations. Also we put in flight plans for all the aircraft leaving the base and we deal directly with pilots. Also we are in-charge of responding to emergencies to determine whether or not the airfield...

  • @cabfab6 needs to be shut down. Your gonna learn a ton about aircraft and some other things, theres a lot to the job and the school for it is only 6 weeks (at Keisler AFB) in Mississippi, so you learn a tonnnn in a few weeks. the classes are really small and usually 2 outa 6 people fail, for an entire year my class was the only one to succeed without a drop out.

  • @mylifelike13 thanks for the info, this is actually my brothers account, my account is jabsteak 91. If u had any tips or pointers on going for airfield management it would help alot. much appreciated.

  • Он в зеркала смотрел? lol

  • best job

  • SIC

  • 0:40 haha! checking to make sure his wings are still there.

  • @detibry

Checking the wings were level and checking the pitch of the aircraft. =)

  • @mono1geek Im not so sure. I think thats the guy in the backseat. By the way is this an incentive ride or what?

  • @laxman888 Hmmm. possibly. Looks like he might be the guy in the back seat in hindsight. The smaller aerobatic pilots have a little indicator on the wingtips to use to compare with the horizon to work out their angle of climb etc.

  • @detibry aahhahahahahaha NICE one :D

  • @detibry no shit, i would too

  • @detibry "I swear! Those wings should be outta' here"

    haha. Funny comment.

  • @detibry HA HAAA HAAA !! THERE ARE MY WINGS !!!!

  • @detibry no he isn't. sorry but he is just looking at the wing or for reference

  • WARS - YOU TUBE [Су-25 'Грач' (Su-25 'Frogfoot' ) вернулся домой. Живой.... ]

  • so many g's

  • @evo9forlife WARS - YOU TUBE [Су-25 'Грач' (Su-25 'Frogfoot' ) вернулся домой. Живой.... ]

  • cant wait for hogh school to be over air force here i come

  • when he was upside down, was he manually pulling the jet down or was that gravity? and if it was the pilot, does the fly by wire automaticaly stabilize the plane while upside down?

  • @105Raptor

That was the pilot -- just leveling out. He rolls to inverted first to keep from unloading into negative Gs.

Also the CAS (control augmentation system) is always working to stabilize things. Basically it filters out any forces on the airplane that don't come from the pilot's input.

There's also an aileron-rudder link that will actually mix in rudder with roll -- automatically -- to keep turns coordinated ("keep the ball centered") and stop any sideslip.

  • @AkAlpinista, ty so much =D now i wont have to wonder next time i go to an airshow if the pilot manualy stabilizes the plane himself lol

  • That was not maximum vertical.

  • Comment removed

  • How many Gs was that?

  • NOT IMPRESSED. Seriously, look at the video, we don't know when the actual takeoff roll starts, many more seconds go by before, so looking at the video we see 33 seconds to going to vertical.

F14 - 2 seconds to get off the ship, 3 seconds total time to vertical. GO NAVY. Air Force your last greatness was when you were the Army Air Corps. Those are the tough guys.

  • @bobbycv64 2 Seconds to launch from the ship? I think that' pretty easy with a launch catapult.

  • @bobbycv64 You can't fairly compare the takeoff time of an F-15 from a runway to an F-14 from a catapult. Ummmm, DUH! Of course a catapulted F-14 will take off faster.

Why not have the F-14 taking off with the F-15 from the same runway at the same time? The F-15 would spank the F-14.

F-15: More top speed, faster climb, lighter, tighter turn, more reliable. The F-15 was JUST RIGHT when it was first introduced, while the F-14 needed to have the bugs worked out of it before it was reliable.

  • @WKHalford we are not comparing the plane capabilities, we are talking takeoff, this was just a boring takeoff. If you really want to compare aircraft, let's talk reality, F15 wouldn't see an AIM-54 Phoenix headed his way until to late. Anytime Baby

  • @bobbycv64 Comparing plane capabilities is the FAIR way to compare. Comparing a catapult-launch to the takeoff of a plane not designed for a catapult is NOT FAIR.

The F-15 can go from standstill to 20K feet in 40 seconds, quicker than ANY Navy jet.

The F-15, with it's 104-0 kill ratio, has the best kill ratio of ANY fighter the world over.

I couldn't find any info on the F-18 kill ratio, but I DID find that IT HAS BEEN SHOT DOWN.

Now, what were you saying? Repeat it again. I can't hear you.

  • @bobbycv64 Okay, like you said, lets talk reality.

The F-15 has NEVER been shot down, with the only perfect record of ANY aircraft that has ever seen combat.

The F-18 HAS been shot down, despite the FACT that it has seen LESS combat than the F-15.

    To summarize:

F-15 + more combat = never shot down.

F-18 + less combat + has been shot down.

So THERE is some REALITY for you...

  • @WKHalford where did you come up with F18? I didn't say anything about F18. I was talking about F14, different beast pal. BTW, where were the F15's when we first went into Afghanistan? No where to be found, sorry, we can reach the destination.

I am done talking to an idiot.

  • @bobbycv64 Okay, so let's talk about the F-14.

The F-14 has been shot down, the F-15 hasn't.

Although now an awesome plane, when first introduced the F-14 was underpowered and unreliable. It had to have changes made to improve it from the very start, while the F-15 was just right from the beginning.

Despite the F-14's modifications, the F-15 still outperforms it.

And of course the F-14 can often be there first. That doesn't mean it's superior to the F-15, it's because it's carrier based.

  • @WKHalford Sorry to but in. Other than ground fire, the F 15 has suffered 1 air to air shoot down, albeit accidental. Both A/C were Japanese F15 Js, and it proves that Eagles can be downed.

  • @SuperAncientmariner ANY aircraft can be shot down. I never said the F-15 couldn't. It just has yet to be shot down in combat.

One thing you have to consider is that the pilot of the downed F-15 may not have took evasive action, or may have took action too late, because he wasn't expecting one of his own to shoot him down, accidental or not.

    Did that occur to you?

One question for those that know, are a US fighter's defenses designed to protect against our own missiles in case of accidents?

  • @SuperAncientmariner There's no need to apologize about butting in. I have no problem with people that have such knowledge making comments as long as they don't get offensive.

I'm just hoping that the Obama administration allows the newer versions of the F-15 to be brought into service, instead of killing them like he did with the F-22 program. We need new fighters of the F-22 and improved current designs. The Russians have had better performing aircraft for years, and they sell to our enemies.

  • @WKHalford No probs. Quite honestly the lack of evasive action for the reason you gave was the only thing that did occur to me. Q. who was the most surprised, the shooter or the shot? lol

  • 19 people pussyed out of flyin behind him...

  • what a wonderfull job....

  • type here : " Mirage 2000 : Wonderful Video !! "

  • i want fly!!!!!!!

  • Whats the speed on these things ?

  • @cherrypie5195 its all confidential... unknown to everyone cept an elite few...

  • @cherrypie5195 Mach 2.5, the fastest we had up until the F-22.

The F-14 was second at Mach 2.3, the F-4 and F-16 are about tied at about Mach 1.9 to 2, and the F-18 is about Mach 1.8.

  • Comment removed

  • @WKHalford

OK, not that I know what Mach means, but I guess it's easier to fly a F-18 then. What about the G-forces ? What's the complications with it ? Fainting, puking ?

  • @cherrypie5195 One Mach is the speed of sound. Mach 2.5 is 2.5 times the speed of sound. The speed of sound varies according to altitude, which affects how fast sound travels due to the air being thinner as the altitude increases.

According to the Chuck Yeager (the first person to fly faster than sound) autobiography, at sea level the speed of sound is 760 MPH; at 40,000 it is 660 MPH.

So the actual maximum Mach number an aircraft can achieve varies on the altitude at which it is being flown.

  • @WKHalford

Cool, now I know that. (pretending to understand :-) But what about the physical condition and complications flying in such speed ? Any difference flying F-18 and F-14 for ex ?

  • @cherrypie5195 Although questions like those are better answered by fighter pilots, I don't think is the speed so much that affects the pilot as it is the forces (G-forces) that affect the body as the aircraft maneuvers. It is possible for a pilot to black out and lose control of the aircraft.

I'm not sure how much of a reader you are, but the Chuck Yeager autobiography is both a very intriguing story and a great learning experience. Maybe you should read it. I've read it over a dozen times.

  • @WKHalford

I was asking about the G-force yes. And I have no clue who's fighter pilot here or not so I just ask and see if I get an answer or not. No, I don't read books about this, but thank you for the tip.

  • Type HERE: " Mirage 2000 - G Force "

  • Not a vertical by a long shot. Being verticle means you're perpendicular to the surface. Going inverted in 23 seconds after roll-out looked pretty cool. Nice video though!

  • Wat up with the arguments climb into a Raptor and be king ;)

  • Yes there have been actual dog fights between an f-15s and su-27s. F-15s won every engagment

  • @parrish903 do you have any proof?

  • @parrish903 Even if it is true, its not the jet that won, its the pilot.

  • respect ya dude from my heart....

  • I wanna fly jets Sir.

  • LOL. looks around....hmm..cool...

  • @LoveTalented Yeah........he's thinkin' "'Im a BAD MUTHAFUKA!.....OH YEAH!"

  • what a view.

  • jets are cool..

  • still gay

  • I'm thinkin the best vidio yet by a pilot in cockpit.

  • Don't think that's close to a vertical climb out.

  • I would have pooped in my pants for sure.

  • awesome.

  • wow. open cockpit.

  • @themdworm no, its glass

  • @SacredAfro

    no it'a open cockpit

  • @khalilovH No it's glass because if there was no glass you could see his clothes rippling from the wind. It is very clean glass.

  • @themdworm

    Hahhaaaa, you retard :L

  • tHE PILOT LOOK BEHIND AND THINK: OH MY GOD!!!

  • great video

  • 'are you a religious man?' no, then fly with this guy youl praise jesus when ur on solid ground lol

  • Awsome Awsome Awsome

  • .40 to .50 the guy looks side to side at least 10 times. wonder what he's thinking. "what the fuck was thinking getting into this damn thing.. LET ME OUT OF THIS BITCH NOW!"

  • now thats what i call a rollercoaster ride

  • 90 degrees?

  • I believe this is footage from the documentary Fighter Pilot: Operation Red Flag that was in Omnimax several years ago and he is in an F-15

  • stupendoooooo......

  • I don't like to fly but that's gotta be the coolest job in the whole world.

  • cool

  • cool

  • is this a f16? i cannot see two tail fins so it cannot be a f15

  • dito

  • I wish I could go up in a fighter!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The R.A.A.F. F-111C,s were never in the desert. they were packed up in a hangar at Carswell A.F.B. for ten years before Australia got them. They had very little airtime on their airframes and came to Australia vertualy a NEW AIRCRAFT. AS FOR GETTING RID OF THEM, WE WILL BE SORRY.

  • @aardvark133

It would seem the -111s could have at the least been cost-effectively exploited and adapted for other missions, such as buddy tanking, or maybe EW for the Supers (As F-15C is being configured to complement the F-22)? Maybe retire a squadron of the old F/A-18s instead? I don't know, just my 2 cents. Respects.

  • @TacairStationHQ 1st of all the F-111 was an O.K. aircraft, it was never a great airplane. too many compromises in the design. why would anyone retire F/A-18's? they are a much newer design & much more survivable then the F-111. heck the U.S. Air Force would rather share share EA-6B's with the Navy then retain the F-111.

  • F-15 during a max climb out of Tyndall AFB in Florida. I've been in his seat before taking off from that runway. Absolute thrill of a lifetime!

  • @srt10terrell oh jesus, that's a dream for a lot of us! It was certainly a great ride! ;-)

  • Must be an F-15

  • the nigga looks scared well turn back around lol

  • i always thing the usaf aren't given the credit they are due sometimes. these guys are the best in the world at their job. and it is a difficult job to fly one of these babies let alone in a combat situation. only the british raf pilots come close to our guys.

  • Then why F-15 has lost dog fight over bering see from SU-27 that is something you whont heard on news in USA...

  • @mihajlo777 ...pretty sure there's never been a dogfight between an SU-27 and an F-15...

  • There was a testing of both aircraft capabilities so it was an agrement betwen Russian and USA airforce, dogfight did acured alright one SU-27 and two F-15 one for observing and other one was in combat... so if F-15 wined that battle it would be on all newspaper pages all around the world but he lost it...

  • It appears that the US has two of its own Su-27's for aggressor training, so why would we have to make an agreement with the Russian Air Force to test its capabilities?

  • I have an air magazine somewhere try to find it then i can show it to you... event acured in the first years when SU-27 com in to service..

  • Ever heard of RED FLAG ???? Indian Air Force and thier SU-27/30's are always in attendance...... Dogfights between the 2 aircraft are common place.....

  • A dogfight usually results in a downed aircraft. What you are talking about, my friend, is training; no missiles are fired, and no lives are at stake.

  • RED FLAG is and always has been considered 'tougher' than combat...... Training kills are still kills , lives or not you still have to be in the right spot to get a firing solution....

  • a 'firing solution' is not a kill. even after achieving the firing solution, there are a number of factors that still play into whether you're going to actually get a kill, including effectiveness of the missile, the target's countermeasures, and the skill of the targeted pilot to maneuver himself away from the fired missile. All I'm saying is, a 'firing solution' is not a kill.

  • @TheTomyossarian yet... the su-27 would maybe win.. with its better agility and all, but if the f-15 spotted it from long range.. the su-27 is toast!

  • @TheTomyossarian I'm pretty sure there has been and that there is one going on right now at Nellis Airforce Base!

  • @sakoshooter48 ...Read above comments...^^^

  • @TheTomyossarian

    not a publicized one

  • @TheTomyossarian ...good thing for the SU-27 pilot.....lol....but no,seriously the F-15 would blow it out of the sky.....

  • @TheTomyossarian Didn't Iraq have some Su27s back during the gulf war. Could definetly be wrong on that. I know they had Mig 29 thought they had some Sus also though.

  • @TheTomyossarian well, as far as i know, USA bought two su-27 in early 90's so probably there were at least trainings :-)

  • Ever heard of the RAAF , SAAF , IAF mate ???? Toe 2 Toe with the best of the best..... USAF has cool toys but all F-15 Strike Eagle pilots finish their training with 1 or 6 SQN , RAAF....... Long , long regarded as the best of the best Strikers anywhere in the world.....

  • Yeah, I can't find any sources supporting your claim that 1 or 6 Sqdn of the RAAF have "long, long [been] regarded as the best Strikers in the world....." I can only imagine this is because they use old US F-111's. There is also no evidence of "Strike Eagle pilots finish[ing] their training with 1 or 6 SQN, RAAF".

  • Our F-111C's were never ever Ex USAF , they were however greater than the USAF one's with ours having the longer wings (greater range&payload) and stronger carrier 'capable' landing gear......They made it good , we made it better and still kicks arse at what she does....... Note worthy is that our 111's achieved 100% serviceability and 100% strike rate at there last RED FLAG outting , something no other aircraft can lay claim to......

  • no matter how hard you try to argue, Australia bought those F-111's from AMARC in the Arizona desert. And if they're so effective, then why are they being replaced with Super Hornets this year?

Listen, I'm not trying to bash the RAAF in any way, shape, or form. Those guys are a rough, tough, and ready crew. But just as you have pride in yours, I have pride in mine. I just don't like dealing with people who come across as angry right off the bat.
