I wish there were more businessmen like Milton Hershey in this country today. He probably rolled over in his grave when that child was denied a chance to attend the school he started because he has AIDS. Hershey started that school so less advantaged children could have a fair shot at a great education. Its a disgrace to his legacy that this happened.
There is a detailed process to apply and today after a 5 month waiting period , we received a 'we don't have space ', 30 second denial..... It was devastating to both grandparents (custodial) and child who was so looking forward to new opprtunities.
That was my daughter, Marie Wilson delivering the farewell speech at graduation 2009. She is now a junior at Penn State University and she is an amazing and confident woman with nothing but a bright future ahead of her. Thanks to MHS.
THE USA IS STILL A VERY GIVEN COUNTRY WITH A LOT OF GOOD PEOPLE AND ALSO IS A COUNTRY THAT GAVE SO MANY GOOD THINGS TO THE WOLRD AND STILL DOES THANKS TO THOSE HEROES LIKE MR HERSHEY AND MENY OTHERS. KEEP WORKING AMERICANS SO WE CAN HAVE USA FOR MANY MANY YEARS REMAIN TOGETHER GOD BLESS THE USA FOREVER . TRULY FROM MEXICO CITY

For Mr & Mrs Hershey to leave $60 million in 1918 that equals $897 million in 2011 adjusted for inflation. According to the US Dept of Labor.
