  • im curios to get to know who is DB Cooper because i watch CSI and prison break..

  • DB Cooper is the most intelligent criminal in US History, put the FBI to shame.

  • Why are we worrying about 37 or 41 years ago when the present needs so much work. Focus on something that is happening now.

  • the main problem with the FBI's evidence is they have over 60 "partial" prints and don't even know if they have his, the DNA is also only partial and they are not sure it's his, they lost the cigarette butts, in a nut shell this investigation has red flags all over it! it is also possible know that they are incorrect about the wind direction and drop zone!

  • I had 2 samples of the ransom money, but had to sell them on ebay.

  • anyone with a little tracking would know where mc cord afb was as well as tacoma.you dont jup out of a plane at 10,000 ft going 165 mph and live he was dead by the time he hit the ground, except for the little money found by the bar bya fisherman the rest was never found,it was very expensive fish food,or at the bottom of the river.stop wasting time and money and stupid shit like this.

  • @pdxpaul1 just to clear up your expertise a little if I may! the military jumps out of planes at up to 150 and his jump has been done so many times I lost count! the problem with tracking him is that they really don't know where he jumped, they think they are close but not positive! the flaps were put at 15 degrees so the plane could not go faster than 200, 165 is about the lowest I have seen yet! try research b4 you post!

I'm not saying he made it, but there sure is a lot of answers needed.

  • fucking black and tans he robbed moneu for the ra

  • @brimaxman lol

  • My grandfather drew those FBI drawings.

  • why bother? he might have been even dead by now?

  • everyone knows adam west is d b cooper

  • I love how some ppl think that the 9/11 terrorists couldn't hold a plane for 2 hrs if 1 guy did it for an entire day... I do understand that Cooper did it in 1971 and the terrorists did it in 2001

  • @bearsrule865 No one tried to apprehend Cooper. They knew he was in it just for the money, he didn't want to hurt anyone. In 9/11, the passengers tried to stop the hijackers because they knew they were trying to kill as many people as possible. They had nothing to lose, so they crashed the plane.

  • @Kjellarnek Keep in mind that the passengers were supposedly not aware they were even being hijacked by Cooper.

This was in stark contrast to 9-11 where-from what knowledge we do have-the passangers were clearly and terribly aware they were being hijacked.

  • Hope he NEVER gets caught.

He didn't hurt anybody, the uploader has a fucking copmind after 40 YEARS!

  • Cooper was one of the gunmen on the Grassy Knoll in Dallas. After he got away with that, he carried out this highjacking. Then he got together with Dick Cheney and they master-mined the September 11 attacks. Sound crazy? I'm just your average conspiracy theorist.

  • is everybody blind or am i the one who is imagining things?! ok, so the stewardess who got the best look at Cooper says that the original sketch does not resemble him very much at all, so she helps with a new and more accurate sketch of him. THEY LOOK ALMOST EXACTLY THE FUCKING SAME!! i have no idea what these retards, including little miss I Saw Him Better Than Anyone, were looking at, but i think they are all as high in the sky as they were back then! Cooper didnt make it, DEAL WITH IT!!!

  • Cooper never existed, the only people to have described Cooper are the flight crew, Not one passenger knew he was there. The police never saw cooper on the plane. There was very little money found on the ground and there was no body or other evidence to suggest he died. There are also conflictions about how he looked. The 200,000 was taken and split by the flight crew. Some money was thrown out the stairs to make it seem cooper died. There are too many inconsistensies in the story.

  • @Capitanvolume Everyone has considered that possibility, but a simple way to rule that out would be to investigate the flight crew and their financial records (which the FBI indeed did)

  • hey i know this guy he is.... charles westmorland from prison break :D

  • @mamu7mich haha westmorland is the reason i'm watching this video

  • i hope they make a movie about this starring leo dicaprio , if theres already one, please let me know ...

  • I'm sure he survived that jump. If he didn't, someone would've reported a missing husband, father, or brother. $200,000 is still a nice retirement package. D.B. could spend that money in a foreign country over the next decade, and I doubt third world record keeping would've identified the cash.

    Maybe Sasquatch got him.

  • Daamn This Guys Smart!lol

  • @bullfrog117581 You think so? Personally I don't understand why they just don't show the picture of Lynn Doyle Cooper to the flight attendants and see what they say. Or the FBI could also take a DNA sample from the Oklahoma woman and compare it with Cooper's DNA which they already have.

  • This has always been one of my favorite mysteries :D I wonder if he's still alive...

  • How cool wouldnt it be if this guy was ones grandfather :)

  • The FBI should show the picture that Marla Cooper gave them to the flight attendants....im sure they can tell if the guy in Marlas picture is DB Cooper!!

  • @americastan I know huh, why don't they do that so we can know for sure.

  • Watch news9.com - A woman is claiming that her two uncles were involved in this. the news channel is an Oklahoma news channel. The story just aired this morning.

  • Hi there. what do you think of the latest suspect, a guy thats been dead for ten years? Agent Fred Gutt said the FBI is currently working with the man's family to find something it can lift his fingerprints from in order to compare them to prints found inside the plane - as of 2nd August 2011. - was reported in The Telegraph.

  • DB Cooper is obviously Prot (Kevin Spacey) from K-PAX who escape using light

  • Early psy/ops to soften public for upcoming airport security measures.

  • Your composite sketch is very similar to the photo of the guy who has just been covered by the media. Same mouth, nose, and hair.

  • This has rec ently been solved according to the FBI. He was dead though.

  • glad he was never caught. hate to see a person with so much talent rot in prison.

  • @moviesforrandy best comment ever on this story!

  • Also, the interviewer didn’t even ask how old LD Cooper had been. He had been in his mid-forties or close 40 years ago? Not a great interview with the niece, in my opinion.

  • The new lead looks very promising! We need some background info on this Lynn Doyle (“L. D.”) Cooper. The ABC interview with his niece didn’t even mention when the man died or what he had done for a living; whether he had been in the service; whether he had any experience with skydiving and would have had any familiarity with aircraft. Let’s get some info here! I like the idea this man’s name really was Cooper. Using it seems consistent with an audacious personality that DB certainly was!

  • @litwriter100 I was reading the wiki article about L.D. says he was a korean war vet. who knows though. would be awesome if they figure it out though.

  • Respect !

  • Mr. Christianson

  • What a joke that the FBI is so inept they spent millions of dollars on searching for this guy who hijacks an entire airline and completly got away with it. He must of been laughing his ass off every day all these years.

  • im surprised they didnt paint im black.

  • So let me see if I understand correct. He never killed any one. He never damaged any property, he never injured any one. There aren't reports that show even had a bomb. He never pointed a gun at any one. Yet he got away with 200,000.

My question is how many millions has the FBI wasted on finding this guy? That's tax payer money that the FBI has stolen. Perhaps some people at the FBI are the real criminals?

  • @BlackSheepParty And how many millions of extra costs in security measures has this guy meant for the airline companies....costs that the consumers...you and me....have to pay. Bomb threaths, airplane hijacking and extortion are serious offences. Anyway you can not always think in terms of profitability when we are dealing with upholding law and order. Justice has its price. I suppose if someone killed you, we shouldn´t say: don´t investigate - save the taxpayers money :-)

  • @vandboeffel Db Cooper never Killed any one, so there's one of your talking points shot down.

Since when is it the duty of the Tax Payer to fund a private industry?

I just Sank your Battle Ship

  • @BlackSheepParty So you are considering police investigation of bomb threats, hijacking and extortion as "funding of private industry".

  • @BlackSheepParty Mr. Cooper was simply retrieving his tax returns.

  • @BlackSheepParty Yeah but I doubt he escaped the forest. The wind was extremely powerful when he jumped and there was a huge thunderstorm and he was probably impaled on a tree or hit the ground. Like when that kid found some of the money on the ground he probably had hit a tree near that area or maybe he fell in the water and couldn't get air from the parachute and all the weight he had on him with his parachute and briefcase and the $200,000 in another bag. But I doubt they'll find his body.

  • @EoinJamesGeoghegan20 the weather that night put the winds in the opposite direction of that river, this jump is very possible and has been duplicated hundreds of times, the myth of jumping out of a 727 needs to be closed! just type 727 parachute jump and you can see it has been done, they have also done the jump under his conditions as well.

  • @EoinJamesGeoghegan20 the FBI admits they were off on where he jumped and the pilot now says his course was off so there really is no telling exactly where he jumped, the FBI has put every worse case into this to kill him and make them look good! these people that always come forward never have these facts of where he jumped and key evidence they should know!

  • 4:00 seattlepi(dot)com says he was 5-foot-1: An olive-skinned man about 5-foot-1, Cooper wore a black raincoat, white shirt, loafers, and dark suit with a black JCPenny clip-on tie. He took a seat in the back of the plane.

apparently we don't have that great of a description of this guy....

  • victim less crime arent there bigger fish to fry..

  • ...he looks exactly like my uncle henry,,,

  • Didn't he die and tell Scholfield where the money was in Prison Break?

  • @Fas811 Awesome Prison Break reference!

  • guy was Duane Weber. he died in 1995

  • @pcgamesolution

yep history channel did a thing on him... its 100 % him

  • @pcgamesolution he didn't match dna/descriptions?

  • piss off u snitch! please contact the fbi? the fbi can go fuck themselves!

  • Heres what I think happened. Cooper jumps and dies. Guy finds a dead body with 200,000 dollars. Guy thinks "Hmm theres a dead body here and 200 k, I think I am just going to bury the body."

  • With the ever growing FBI DNA database it will only take time for a match or relative match to be collected and added to the database, then a full match or partial match from a relative will be made and his identity will be known.

  • Well he didn't kill anyone

  • It all makes sense. D.B Cooper is really.. The G-Man..

    its all coming together.

  • It's H.P. Lovecraft.

  • Where will you find this man from? Nothing is known about him. He could have come from a different country and probably return to that country with the money. He could have survived or else why could the parachute and the body found?

  • Comment removed

  • @FreestyleFletcher are you serious?

  • holy shit. that's my grandpa.

  • They dont get his deadbody how can FBI say he is dead?

  • I found him......Kevin Spacey is D. B. cooper!

  • Composite sketch = Kevin Spacey = Keyser Soze/

    The bugger really is everywhere!

  • I wonder if D.B.Cooper ever Googles himself and thinks "Wow, I am pretty bad ass."

  • thumbs up if you think the description sounds like your dad.

  • take that police!

  • He almost certainly died in the jump. The reserve chute he took was a dummy. In 1980 packets of the money were found in the bank of a lake near where he may have landed. They had been washed into the shore not buried.

  • @ryko26

only one of the four chutes he asked for was defective. I like to think he made it,,they never found a body. Its possable that some money fell out during his jump,,and that money landed in the water to be washed up on the beach. Its more then possable that his jump was successfull,,they found the shute in the river a couple days after it had been deployed but again no body

  • @someguy111222 I hope you're right!

  • @ryko26

nope he dide in 1995... he was an excellent jumper b/c he was in an airbourne unit in the army... he knew his shit

  • Its the G-Man!

  • where is this music from?

  • There's no proof the guy ever existed in the first place. Have you guys seen the movie "Armored"? That's exactly what I think happened. Go check out the movie, they fake a robbery between the crew and tell people they got robbed. Except, their plan goes wrong. Cooper was a well done job...

  • @yesiamawizardjonny That's so dumb it doesn't even warrent arguing against.

  • well he didnt heart anyone and there still lookinf for him when there are killers out there that they have givin up on

  • @mrliampep5i "heart anyone"???? jesus...

  • havent you all heard? he ended up in fox river penitentiary with michael scofield and lincoln burrows!

  • So they are still looking for me. JK lol

  • This guy does NOT deserve what he took by force! I am with the FBI on this one. I would help them find him if it were possible. This man used a flight crew and a plane and then forcefully took this money and then disappeared. Even though some of the money was discovered in mud in 1980 the mystery remains. Just because someone is brazen and single minded doesn't mean they are a hero.

  • @MainelyLove , you don't know much about gov'ts, do ya ?

  • @MainelyLove The ironic thing is though that this guy only stole $200,000 yet the the FBI spent millions trying to find him

  • @AlienBeliever897 Yes, right, the villian gets all the attention and the victims are ignored or abused for not liking the treatment. I bet some of the flight crew had PTSD symptoms afterward.

  • @MainelyLove I don't think any of them had PTSD. They had some bad memories yes, but not something like that. And what the hell are you talking about that the "victims were ignored or abused for not liking the treatment."?

  • It wouls have been fun if Cooper would have commented on this vid...

  • it was keyser soze

  • Hes a men in black :o

  • A perfect caper: nobody hurt, the guy got away.

  • @kpeavey1 well if he got very lucky and survived the jump he never spent any of the money.

  • This is so awesome. I'm glad he got away.

  • @SmittyKat me too man. The govt takes too much shit from us bout time someone took something from them.

  • @y2joct7 I agree 100%. Hell they stole a country from the native americans! DB was just fuckin the system on behalf of the tribes. Reparation, bitches!

  • D.B. Cooper is great.

  • Hmm it could be a real life g-man the description fits him well

  • @lilchinboi you can read? Try to learn past tense.

  • I'm with chasrar. This guy beat the system. If i knew who he was I'd never tell a soul.

  • D.B Cooper is a Man in Black. That's why they can't find him. ;p

  • i am d.b. copper muahahahaha!!!!!!!

  • Yeah that about describes half the older Italian men in America at the time.

  • who cares he got away , dont be mad police

  • "....For D B Cooper and all the money he took" _____ Kid Rock

  • I read a book called 'thieves' and i talked about this guy. He is dead right now. Apparantly his real name is Paul something i forgot but he did survive the jump but hurted himself. He civilized in this small town and met his wife. They lived a rich life because he used that money by going to casinos (dont ask i dont know how that worked) and when he died his wife eventually started telling the public. This is all according to this book a read the title is 'thieves' its a red maple candidate so

  • @lilchinboi

yep and they did a show on this guy on the history channel. people who knew this guy are coming forward now. the statue of limitation has passed on this case now is why.. with the evidence the history show brought forward i have no doubt he would've been convicted.

  • ITS FLIPPIN GMAN

  • I camp and scout in the deep woods of the pacific northwest every year. It's fun to dream about finding that money and his bones. :)

  • No body!No parachute! He got away.I'm not a jumping expert but I imagine you would have to be athletic to survive a jump in bad weather and DB did not look too athletic. With no body I still say he got away

  • @Motorsash My friend, his body is at the bottom of some river. If he had landed on land then his body would've been ripped apart by animals. Remember when they went looking for Steve Fossett and the only thing they found left of him was two bones? Not to sound gruesome, but the lack of a body means nothing. DB Cooper is dead.

  • What if D.B Cooper never excisted and it was all a lie and the plane pilots lied about it and took the money and threw it out the plane with the chutes for the greatest unsolved mysteries. End result Cooper is a lie.

  • D.B Cooper another bizarre myth from our strange world.

  • @Manveet That is good to know. He did choose the worst one, that is a fact. So does this mean he was not an expert skydiver and able to recognize the bad chute? I do not have knowledge of parachuting but would he not know it was freezing rain and 200 mph winds he was jumping out into? The guy was wearing only a trench coat and no winter clothes. How the hell was he expecting to survive. Did he have knoledge of the terrain below him. Just think of the wind direction as well, towards the huge lake.

  • @Manveet . I have no idea. Also the feds knew that Cooper was just an assumed name and did not know the identity of the hijacker. I saw a documentary on the Discovery Channel and he had asked for two chutes not four.

  • DB goes down as a legend in US history for planning out & actually going through with the hijacking. His real name was Kenneth Christiansen, after his death in 1994, his family found out he had more than $300,000 in his account. Plus the secret compartment in his attack, located exactly over his bedroom which was the exact size to hold $.

  • @buffyjulzz .Yes, i did see the documentaty on Christinsen. But the bizarre thing about it is the $300.000 thousand dollars in his account. The serial numbers on the $20.00 dollar bills have never been documented that the money was actually put in circulation. $5,800 in buried money was found on the river bank and these bills are the only was with the serial numbers ever found in 40 years. I wonder why Cooper never asked for used bills. The money given to him were crisp uncirculated paper money.

  • DB goes down as a legend in American history for planning out and actually going through with the hijacking. His real name was Kenneth Christiansen, after his death in 1994, his family found out he had more than $ 300,00 in several banks. Plus the secret compartment in his attack, located exactly over his bedroom which was the exact size to hold $.

  • forget the facial profiles; look for a man with the biggest set of balls you ever saw.

  • I wonder what happened to the bomb he was carrying with him? There were four red cylinders on top of four more in a case that he had showed the attendant.

  • @joaquinmurrieta1850 he might have been lieing about the bomb

  • @joaquinmurrieta1850 . Yes it's almost a fact that he was lying about carrying a bomb. What the attendant's testimony was that she saw four bright red cylinders on top of four more. They could have been aerosol cans painted red. Cooper knew that had he been captured in the act there was no way the feds were tag him with a bomb. What my question was what could have happened to the so called bomb when he hit the groung. There is no mention of him strapping the case to him when he jumped. Idea.

  • D.B Cooper drinks Dos Equis because he is the most interesting man alive.

  • It's a fact that he did exist. What we do not know if he was shredded to pieces once in the 200 mph winds. Good possibility he drifted into the lake and or river below. Only two stacks of money were found on the bank of that river, maybe the knapsack came appart in the impact. Cooper did not survive the fall, for he was not a sky diver to say the least, also jumping in the midddle of the night?

  • @joaquinmurrieta1850 Obviously, we agree that there was a Dan Cooper unlike some idiots here.

This case has all the earmarks of a precisely planned crime.

There is no indication that Cooper was thrown off balance anytime during this caper.

Therefore, a a reasonable person must assume that he was aware of the risks in jumping from an airliner at night and was willing to assume the risk.

    Otherwise why jump?

  • @MultiSmartass1 . Hello my friend, thanks for the comment. Numerous theories, of widely-varying plausibility, have been proposed by experts, reporters, and amateur enthusiasts. The note was printed in neat, all-capital letters with a felt pen. It read, approximately, "I have a bomb in my briefcase. I will use it if necessary. I want you to sit next to me. You are being hijacked." Schaffner did as requested, then quietly asked to see the bomb. Cooper cracked open his briefcase 8 cylinders were der

  • Now we know from whence the Osama Bin Laden squad got its start. Don't worry; we're working on it.

  • .. I am Cooper..

  • @kousoulides you to?!

  • @ignorantSlinky too good to be true?

  • he just got away thats it

  • thats badass

  • Dan Cooper is a serious fucking badass. He jumped out of a plane in pitch black darkness with a cloud cover 5,000 feet below him, a wind blowing 200mph and a rainstorm over a fucking river. He was wearing a trench coat and was using an unreliable parachute. He is a serious badass no joke.

  • @yesiamawizardjonny Oddly enough,, the drawings of him show a mild mannered looking fellow,, But you`re right, he must have known what he was doing, and pretty bazen and brave guy.

  • How much you wanna bet they rigged his parachute so it would not open!

  • @wesellsex Thats a common misconception.. He asked for four parachutes. The authorities, or course thought about riggin his parachute.. however, when he asked for four, they assumed he was going to make the crew jump with him, so they did not do anything to the chutes.

  • @xvoy2002 Don't get any ideas mr.

  • D.B. means "Dirty Bastard"

    Cooper was the man.

  • back then the amount of money he took was alot.

  • if he was never found what happend to all the money? he might of been hired by sombody, gave them the money and then the hirers might of killed him. so no trace to them. just a idea. if you think i could be correct then responed to this message

  • its weird, its pretty clever actually why did he only demand 200000?? if it was more i would have thought goverment but why only 200000?? and is it weird that the flight stuff shouldnt leave? maybe that guy never existed and the flight crew split the money.... anyway if he existed he was pretty smart and had guts, he probably works for a rich guy now and is rich himself... the weird thing is he was older, i only thought young people do that stuff.....

  • @dragonheadofthewest im not sure how much they found but the bills were marked..some of the money was found so that leads to an explosion of the briefcase on impact...meaning he died as well..but there's a chance he purposely planted some of the money to make it look like his escape didn't go as planned..but then again he didn't kill anyone and it makes for an interesting story so if he's still alive kudos to him, and I'll drink to that!

  • @itzamia you read my mind, thats exactly why i asked if its not so much than the purposly planted money seems mighty real

  • @dragonheadofthewest i wouldnt bank on planted money but a failed attempt..he didn't plan it out as much as it looks because the money recovered came from the brief case..more than likely he didn't make the jump

  • @dragonheadofthewest that would be very clever if he never even existed and it was all just a ploy by the flight crew. Or even if 'Dan Cooper' was an accomplice of the flight crew, who didn't actually jump but instead changed into a flight crew uniform/hid in the plane somewhere after receiving the money. Then the flight crew would give their story. Nobody would find him because he never jumped or never even existed in the first place.

  • its weird, its pretty clever actually why did he only demand 200000?? if it was more i would have thought goverment but why only 200000?? and is it weird that the flight stuff shouldnt leave? maybe that guy never existed and the flight crew split the money....

  • cool!

  • holy shit! its my granddad! seriously, he looks exactly like him!

  • He looks like my dad

  • The family found less than $6000, not half...

  • @01:37 its plain to see he is an agent of the martix. His name is Agent Cooper, he probably split the money with Agent Smith, to be used to pay for their worldwide search for Neo (The One). LOL

  • Is this some sort of joke?? No one injured; no one hurt, yet 39 years later some investigator still has a bug up his about this guy. Luser investigators, this guy got clean away with it. He's a lot smarter than you are. Time to move on. Don't let jealousy and resentment rule your lives.

  • DB who?

  • A family found half the money while they where at picnic

This guy is way smarter than Albert Einstein

  • What a marvelous plan. D.B Cooper deserved that money. He must be more than 80 years old by now. Leave the old man alone you fucks.

  • @chasrar No!

  • @chasrar goood call brother

  • @chasrar you're a jackass. "injustive anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere" figure out who said that and stfu. You wouldn't be saying this shit if your wife/daughter/sister was the flight attendant or a passenger who he threatened to blow up.

  • @chasrar

he died a few years back...

  • IF HE EXISTED THEN SWEEEEEEET!!! PRETTY INSPIRING...

WHO WANTS TO BURN SOME BANKS DOWN!!?

    SKrY209.tk CHECKIT!!!

  • Why do they tell us what he was wearing on the day all this took place?

It's not as if someone's going to go, "Wait a second, I think I remember seeing a guy with dark brown or black hair and mid-ear lenght sideburns in a dark suit and brown shoes, carrying a case falling from the sky. I've seen a lot of sky-fallers in my time, sure, but I'm positive I saw it".

  • sharks ate him

  • he.s not dead.he played in a movie.prison break!

  • Cooper never existed. inside job

  • @sentrylevel There was an episode of the UK TV series "Tales of the unexpected" the plot of which was based around just such a scenario. The episode (S4 Ep 17) was called 'Hijack' and was first broadcast on 26/12/81. I have since seen it on Youtube although I'm not sure if it is still available. I just thought this may be of some interest to you.

  • @sentrylevel how?
