Yes and it did that well according to what I read on daily tech report it surpassed the 8800 by a lot in benchmarks. This demo was recently revealred to be the next Incredibles movie trailer!

However, once that becomes a non-issue (heck, more power is still not enough to break an 800 watt psu), then the 2900 is a lot better. Just imagine if they took out the $70 of freebies!

i tried with physic card from asus and the radeon 2900, its just so fucking smooth with max setting.

According to the current benchmarks, Nvidia 8800 performs better than HD2900XT
HD2900XT also consume more power and it produce more noise

Certainly 1 Hell of a Card, easily comparable to the 8800 GTS. Really Dissapointed that it fails to outperform the 8800 GTX though.
