correct, back in the day the joke was camaro's and mustang's racing each other all day and then a gn would blow them all away. they all were doing 11's at the track, but they all had larger turbos to do it. still impressive for a v6 back in the early 90's.

@krisrainbolt1 actually because automatics have torque converters which detract 10-20% of the horsepower from actually reaching the wheels, it was a fair race. If he couldn't shift it, he shouldn't of gotten it... or at least agreed to the race...

What robs power in an automatic is the pump in the transmission that has to keep all the shift circuits and the clutch packs pressurized.
