Doubtful that it was actually stolen. This came out the same year that Astro Zombies was recorded, but The Misfits were NOT a popular band even amongst the punk scene until people post-humously discovered them after Danzig got popular with "Mother". They were relatively known amongst the hardcore scene (since they played with The Necros), but they weren't nearly popular to assume that Vice Squad knew very much about them all the way overseas.

The Misfits actually opened for the damned in the UK in1979, but yeah they weren't very popular. A lot of people hated them back in the 80's too, especially in San Fransico in the US where they beat a smaller kid unconcious.

Young kids today though do have it a lot easier than their older peers because there is less prejduce against people who dress differently these days. You know nothing about punk mate. The Clash were only punk for about two years before turning reggae. Blondie were the first to pioneer the sound of pop/punk which wasv then took up by later female fronted punk band. Vice Squad tried to be as melodic and pop as possible. If that is not ripping off Blondie then what is?

We run the Vice Squad YouTube site and we DO know lots about punk Mr internetuser1999. You are quite off the mark by suggesting Vice Squad copied Blondie. There are definite similarities between Beki and Siouxie Sioux and the original band wanted to be like Motorhead, Vice Squad cica 1980 hated Blondie and certainly were not influenced by them. Blondie had top hit songwriters like Chinn/Chapman writing bubblegum pop for Debbie whilst Beki wrote the apocalyptic Last Rockers & animal rights songs

No I hate dance music. I have been into punk music since 1984 when I was 18 and was slightly interested in punk when I first heard of it back in 1977 when I was 11. They are like Blondie in that they go for melodic new wave style pop punk rather than all out thrash punk. And it was Blondie who popularised the softer more melodic side of punk.
