Ive been reading all the arguing below, it's pretty funny. All im gonna say is Eminem is definitely ONE of the best rappers ever. That can't be denied, every time I see a list of the best rappers of all time, he always hits the top 10. Not because hes white, but lyrically speaking the dude is genius. Plain and simple. @corbster I'm not ignorant at all and I do enjoy some of his songs. Overall however I don't really relate to what he talks about. His life experiences are not mine nor are they those of most of the people I grew up with. Eminem dabbled a bit in politics but not with any depth. There are many more artists that explore such themes with far more depth and insight than Eminem. Perhaps you need to listen to something else besides him to find out.

All though, I do put in him in the top 5 myself. And I said the whole word can relate to SOME of the songs he has put out, definitely true. Songs like Lose yourself and Till I collapse is two I know for sure can. Most mainstream rappers have very little multi-syllables in their verses.

They buy it because it is in the movement and they want to follow because the popular music is usually by teenagers that listen to a song for its beat to bump too. Me personally, I buy it music for the meaning behind the beats and the realism thats in the music. I'm not a big fan of mainstream at all. Only a few mainstream rappers I like and some I wouldn't put in that catagory.
