Many "peaceful protest" lead to unnecessary violence on both ends, that's a given; tensions run high. Though if you pay close attention, a lot (most) of that comes from protesters not heeding to lawful commands. i.e. Sitting in the street and blocking traffic, Protesting without a permit, resisting arrest, etc.. There are SO many things that I see at events like this that leave me feeling almost zero sympathy for the "victims".

Both the person shooting this video & others failed to comply, so police responded. And I suspect you would agree with that response had it been your property being defaced or threatened by fire.

Many "peaceful protest" lead to unnecessary violence on both ends, that's a given; tensions run high. Though if you pay close attention, a lot (most) of that comes from protesters not heeding to lawful commands. i.e. Sitting in the street and blocking traffic, Protesting without a permit, resisting arrest, etc.. There are SO many things that I see at events like this that leave me feeling almost zero sympathy for the "victims".

These protesters are not "non-threatening." They were setting fires (seen in this video), defacing property, and throwing objects. As a result, police repeatedly told the mob to disperse. Both the person shooting this video & others failed to comply, so police responded. And I suspect you would agree with that response had it been your property being defaced or threatened by fire.

haha, hilarious, but seriously, there are a lot of good cops, and a lot of good cops just following orders to do bad things, unforchunatly for each good one, there are the powerhungery control freak cops just looking for a reason to pull the trigger, a lot of the police on that line probably thought it to be way too much agressive force, but their bosses gave the order, so you have to pay the rent, now there were others just looking to shoot people with rubber bullets, and they got their wish.

The police have never been "defenders of the people", their job is to protect and serve the government. We're nothing but a revenue source, tax slaves; the only protection afforded to us by the state is the sort of protection a farmer provides for his livestock. We're property to them, not people. Lance, you're trying too hard without doing enough thinking. The fact that you can't see a stormtrooper police state meant to intimidate and infringe on the Bill of Rights (you might want to read that by the way) does not surprise me. Research what happened in Canada this last summer or at the Seattle riots. The police planted their own people in the crowd and they are the ones who started fights. They have been caught doing this time and time again.
