A "good "song about Texas pride performed in Los Angeles, 1965.
Movie "Baby Rain Must Fall"(starred Steve McQueen) filmed in south Texas towns between San Antonio, Houston during hot 1964 summer, and shows S. Texas agricultural landscape in classic, tiimeless black and white.
Thanks so much for pointing this out. I love this song. I saw him perform it at Modesto College in 66 or 67. He started out with some songs that most people were not familiar with... and then he said... "I know you have all been waiting for my most famous song."
The audience exploded in whoops and applause because we were all expecting Baby the Rain Must Fall. Instead he sang... "Things go better with Coca Cola...."
I still love him and the Limeliters. I wish they were still together.
Glenn Yarbrough, has a really unique voice that I like. I think he also did the songs for the Cartoon version of the Hobbits in the 1970's. Thanks for posting. P.S. You Gotta love the A-go-go girls in the background!! Swing it Sisters.

a great tribute to, and memory of, Paul Newman in " Cool Hand Luke" every time I hear this song!

haha he even makes it obvious at the beginning that he's lip syncing.
