@jamsid33 Well not in the UK the top 25% earners pay only 15% of the tax. The lowest paid 25% pay 35% of the tax, the middle pay their share. In the UK most people in high end jobs are there through family connections. As the government have said they are going to change this. Talk about empty words. This is not possible to change. The leaders have admitted that they got their first jobs through family. Last year Barclays bank paid 2% tax on their net earnings.

@terryjosie the problaem is you are a socialist and dont undestand capitalism. if the rich did not make a profilt from growing potatoes then potatoes would not be grown and sold to everyone including the poor (potatoes are relatively cheap so the poor can afford them) if the rich did not do this the poor would not be able to have thier own potatoes since they could not afford the land, fertilizer, ect. if you took out the profit motive then the rich would just grow potatoes for themseves.

The wrong is that people who have not done this and are merely salaried staf get paid up to 250 times the mean wage because they were born in the right family and went to the right school. There is no realistic justification for this, even if they are good at the job, not many exceptional.

I did not say they do nothing, I say they are mere paid workers that should not be paid 250 times the mean. These rates have developed because of the power that comes with wealth and position which has allowed them to inflate their own pay beyond justification. Capitalism without control means the rich get richer and the "others" pay. Ragen and Thatcher removed the controles this was abused.

The "high earners" have used their position and power to inflate their own pay. If the "job creator's" did all they could to create jobs, not so bad. @jamsid33 Well not in the UK the top 25% earners pay only 15% of the tax. The lowest paid 25% pay 35% of the tax, the middle pay their share. In the UK most people in high end jobs are there through family connections. As the government have said they are going to change this. Talk about empty words. This is not possible to change. The leaders have admitted that they got their first jobs through family. Last year Barclays bank paid 2% tax on their net earnings.

@terryjosie the problaem is you are a socialist and dont undestand capitalism. if the rich did not make a profilt from growing potatoes then potatoes would not be grown and sold to everyone including the poor (potatoes are relatively cheap so the poor can afford them) if the rich did not do this the poor would not be able to have thier own potatoes since they could not afford the land, fertilizer, ect. if you took out the profit motive then the rich would just grow potatoes for themseves.

Government is fucking dangerous to use especially in a situation like this. government should only be used as what the constitution specifies. The funny thing is, most people in America can obtain whatever they want if the put down the porn, drugs, alcohol, video games, tv remote, computer and excuses and go work. This 'fairness' does not make sense. Most people fail in society due to lack of desire, not opportunity. They like to blame others for their lack of respect.
BTW: Anyone in America who makes more than $35k/yr is in the world's 1%.

I'm a little pissed off because the OWS have failed to raise the real problems with the US i.e.
ABOLISH the Federal Reserve Bank, Fiat Currency, Debt Created Money and Fractional Reserve Lending.
Have the US Government switch to its own Debt Free Currency and creation of money, STOP the banks lending money they don't have and end high levels of Government borrowing.
That would seriously piss the FED-RES and Major Banks off because they cant control people with debt slavery anymore.

Whenever you have large government. They will team up with those special interest people you just mentioned (corporations.etc) Government doesn't work like non profit organizations do. It's a much more volatile monster that's why the founding fathers wrote the constitution to contain it.
