Great! Can anybody tell me why everybody is so crazy about mediocre nazi Wagner and not about Grieg! One note of Grieg has more poetry and romanticisim then all crap that Wagner came up with!!!
Dude, I am the education since I am the college professor. Besides nobody can "get" an education, it is constantly obtained through self-perfection. Also, "The matter of taste" is a name for the good restaurant (something that germans are heading Paris for) but inappropriate while judging the music.
For some ohilistines the music is nothing but the commodity of the meals but for the spiritually developed humans, music is the advanced for of the art expression evoking the vital questions about the universe. Waht a shame that I have to explain to you all of this stuff....
By the way Nietzsche was a precursor of national socialism, and such intellectual scum was responsible for the rise of the Evil, not to mention that the R. Wagner was an anti-semite...
I don't see anything wrong in flushing such crap into the toilet of history, they were bastards and they desrved to be condemned. Nevertheless I could forgive them for the talent but such impotents were as mediocre as one only can imagine.
how could nietzsche be a prosecutor of national socialsm, if he died in 1900? he had an idea of creating an elite, but it was an intellectual elite and had not much to do with nazi ideals. Of course his work has been used to promote the nationalsocialism, but they didn't use the original intention of it. About wagner ... yeah, you re right. being a strict antisemit makes him a nazi to me too.
do you really see music in such an esoteric way? and calling music no matter of taste is to me like stoping musical process at about 1900 ... I really like strawinsky and ligeti and they re both acknowledged as great artists, but there are many people who don't like them. so are those people wrong? I don't think so, it s very normal to me not liking their work, as it uses many dissonances. on the other hand I also take the freedom to not liking older composers other people call great
btw. are you really a college professor? it seems strange to me that you seem proud of being that but don t even mention what you re teaching. It makes a great difference whether you re a professor for physics or philosophy. It s like telling that you have a job and don't even mentioning the company you re working for or what you re doing.
it matters not who plays or conducts these pieces, they remain up-liftment for all -

@BunduBasher58 That means you didn't learn about music at all.

@BunduBasher58 You have to be a master to play a masterpiece masterfully.
