  • I wish I had as much fun as Errol Flynn.

  • Hmm, Canada certainly seem more liberal now then back then.

  • I'm glad Flynn had cancer here.

  • @FrankClanton You and PeterFirthFan are the same person, how sad are you, you both slagged off Oliver Reed one after the other, ur a fucking retarded piece of shit...

I would love to shove a red hot poker down your throat and watch you suffer, do mankind a favour and go jump off a cliff, not that you'll be missed, seeing as you most likey have no friends you fuckstick

  • The setting and questioning are like hes on trial

Such countenance on his part though.

I didnt know Errol Flynn documented the war in Cuba.

His look-alike son died working as a photographer in the Vietnam War.

  • One of many Hollywood fools who shilled for Castro. Some still do.

  • Scott Young is Neil Young father

  • Flynn didn't have oral cancer; jeesh.. He died from a heart attack.

  • Actually, he was diagnosed with throat cancer early in 1959. He also had cirrocis of the liver and kidneys, as well as arteroscelosis.

  • @FrankClanton No way. I have seen the death certificate.

  • well were are all these photos he took?

  • Pity Castro didn't execute him like so amny others.

  • Flynn was already dying of oral cancer when this was recorded.

  • Errol Flynn never ceased to amaze. Cool, brave, well-read, he was truly ahead of his time. Wish he had lived longer, but he sure lived well.

  • Errol Flynn statutory rape trial -he had sex with two underage girls- made headlines in 1942.

In his final film Cuban Rebel Girls (1958) he appeared with his girlfriend at the time, 15-year-old "mercenary rebel" Beverly Aadland.

  • I believe Flynn was acquitted because none of the female participants were unwilling, and actually seemed the be the sexual aggressors.

  • @GermanShepardd I think he goes into that into great detail in My Wicked, Wicked Ways--his autobiography. I find all of the negative comments about Flynn very annoying. He was charming, perhaps a bit of a sex fiend but a gent in many other ways. His Robin Hood is the definitive version!

  • Errol Flynn was about ten times deeper than most of the Hollywood crowd. The man was a world adventurer and lived more in 50 years than 99% of the male population. Furthest thing from an idiot possible. Incredibly uninformed and ignorant statement to make. Laughable really!

  • I completely agree, well said, and anyone who would make such a statement about Errol knows nothing about him.

  • Interesting that Hitler rates only an "etc" in Mathesonguy's comment, if in fact Hitler

    was who he meant.

I suppose he prefers Batista to Castro. He rightly abhors Stalin and Mao, but what does he think of Franco, Pinochet, d'Aubuisson, the Duvaliers, the Shah, etc? For that matter, the European empires that wiped out millions of Native Americans (or Andrew Jackson and Indian Removal, Nixon's bombings, etc)? Probably doesn't give them even a glance: they weren't commies.

  • Im so happy that we can talk again with the north fellows coz i think in you as our big brother, want the best for us but have too much arrogance, and we, like a teenager, also want the best for our brother but we are too much rebellious.

  • So handsome and charming even at age 50.

  • Interesting and sad to see dear Errol Flynn in his last year, he died in Vancouver in October 1959 (hard to believe nearly 50 years ago). His death was a loss to the entire world but he had lived a full life and enjoyed all its pleasures.

  • If I'm not mistaken the interviewer there is Pierre Burton who later interviewed Bruce Lee (1971) in Bruce's only on-screen interview. Amazing that he talked to 2 of my screen heroes.

  • Yes. You are correct! It is Pierre Berton. Flynn also met Ernest Hemingway when he was a reporter.

  • 59! the year ol' Errol died, :(

  • Right on Errol.

  • Castro doesn't Quite measure up to the "greats" (Stalin, Mao, etc), but it wasnt for a lack of trying.

  • and by measure up you mean.... murdered as many people?

  • HMMM interesting, so cool to see things from the past ;)
