while he was still associated with kuki he was teaching the taijutsu "ninpo" skills as kukishin ryu ninpo... and had to change the name of it after we know he was declined to open a kuki dojo, circa 1950.
this is ALSO why you cannot find ANY MENTIONS of togakure ryu before he leaves kuki... he hadn't needed to make it up yet...

Togakure ryu comes from the IGA province. second Koka ninjutsu is fake! The lineage died with fujita. Thirldly Iga and koga wasnt enemy how people protray them to be, so I believe iga and koga where similar. All ryu are similiar, but have differences. Secondly, you contradict yourself saying Koga ryu is fake, it died out. That means it was real. Third, Togakure ryu came from Togakushi mountains, in Nagano, or the old term, Shinano. Research yourself. And you cliam to know ninjutsu.

first things first....hatsumi got the scrolls from toshitsugu takamatsu and then tanemura practiced under hatsumi but eh got fed up with the pilitical bull in the bujinkan so he started the genbukan tanemura is from samurai decendence not ninja ...but hes also teaching because tanemura actually ask takamatsus wife for permission to teach and she granted the wish so just like hatsumi he can teach as for the scrolls hatsumi has em but tanemura got a set (copy)
tanemura is a descendant of samurai and koka ninja. dont take my word for it, ask him. and jinichi kawakami is just as legit. you guys just have preference of hatsumi and tanemura which is fine, and probably due to the ninja boom in the 90's. but that doesnt mean there the only ones. WWII ninja were hired by the japanese govt. and after wards some hid in south america, and hid there ninjutsu in traditional martial arts such as jujutsu.

If it is a real shinobi family of course it would be secret, but I sent you the known ryu some training most not, one must remember if a shinobi or his work is in the history books he probably was not very good at his work.
Check out the Bujinkan (Booj) for all TRUE Ninja needs.
Hatsumi Soke is the LAST true ninja in the world, trained by and given Soke status by Takamatsu himself, you must study under him - simple as that.
