They started showing it again on the Sky digital channels called Zone romantica from the very start until the season 5 cliffhanger but they have not shown season 6 yet. I dont think they have the rights to show it so they have gone back to showing Season 1 AGAIN.

I think they didnt show Season 6 because they are now releasing it on DVD starting from Season 1. They did the same thing with Dallas when they showed it on UK TV Gold only the first 5 seasons were shown and then they stopoped after the DVD started to be released.

You know whats funny, I don't like SOAPS that much but as a kid I always watched Falcon Crest and Dallas. Don't know why , but just liked those shows.

You're right!! They seemed to slightly improve with each season, with season 8 being the bomb!! Their last season opening tanked, and I somehow knew this spelled the end for the show -- and it was!

The show had the best opening around since this is the topic of discussion plus it had a very normal quality not flashy like Dynasty and Knots Landing was trying too hard at times and Dallas was losing ground

When people think of soaps they usually think about the slow boring daytime soaps such as All My Children, Guiding Light, and One life to Life. I hate daytime soaps, the nighttime ones move a hell of a lot more faster and there's more action in them.

That is a very good point and I agree. I think that television has changed. I miss most of the old T.V shows. In today's T.V most shows are boring, and there is just way much more commercial time then show time. Drives me Bonkers! (Love that word)

falcon crest in germany from 1983-1991, paul freeman as gustav riebman and sarah douglas as miss lynch was my favorite characters of this season from 1984.

This is also the season where Angela switched from the black Mercedes to the white Rolls... not the best choice

In the story line, Gustav Reibman blew up Angela's Mercedes 600. It is very possible the producers were not able to keep using the very rare Mercedes 600s. :-)

I love the music...but the red in the creditds just isn't "Falcon Crest."

I agree with finn3602... the art design for this opening was not good at all. The red is too garish and instead of adding drama, it looks tacky or cheap. The only opening with less visual appeal, in my opinion, are the original Season 9 credits. (They did away with the armorial crest/coat of arms and instead shaped the "F" like it had a beak! They corrected that sacrilege after one or two episodes, if memory serves.)

¡Qué recuerdos de la infancia!. Falcon Crest, con sus créditos de inicio, con la malvada Ángela Channing, el guapísimo Lance, la loca de Melissa, etc. Y como no, la buena de Maggie, que además en los créditos destacaba siempre por ese movimiento de melena.
