The problem I had with this is that 50+ ring cigars tended to rub the sides and tear the surface. Anything 50 and smaller is fine. Also, it's easy to overdo the foam element, which is easily replaceable. One nice thing is when I'm outdoors, I lay the case on its side and the grooves on it serve as a place to set my cigar down without rolling off a table.

@ffoem great point about being able to use this as a cigar rest, I'd never thought about that!
