You won't learn much from most cook shows because they don't tell you measurements, the science behind food combined with humor like this show.

My culinary instructor believed that a professional chef learns on a basic level. That the science of cooking is what everyone needs to understand. Because of this show and my instructor, I was in the top 5 percent :)

I guess the process for checking for bad eggs isn't 100%. I've assisted in kitchens for about 4 years and i've gotten about 3 eggs that have bloody yolks. the strange thing is i've gotten more "red" eggs then double yolks.

Yeah, in early seasons, he actually said the title. It was only in later seasons that he let the title intro finish it for him...and even on a few occasions, other people said the title, including the avocado episode where the entire Good Eats staff said it in unison.
