  • Wow. That is stunning.

  • i bet he has a sex doll made to look like rose dawson

  • He needs to get himself a 1:1 scale girlfriend. He can find them in lots of places, mainly OUTSIDE HIS APARTMENT.

  • Yes, I have seen it. And I hear the QE3 will be bigger. I think it is suppose to be bigger, anyway. What ever the case, 1200 feet of steel is nothing to sneeze at.

  • the MS Oasis of the Seas is the largest ocean liner, Queen Mary 2 WAS

  • man you have way too much free time.... 8 years? dam... well done though, that's one massive boat, I hope they buy it for a museum someplace :)

  • Finland is making bigger ship than queen mary 2, Independence

  • @Ziikuje Wow! Is there a website with photos on it?

  • @snorky500 MAKING it

  • @willbaguley9000 And it's not even a great model. By using toothpicks, he made the whole thing lumpy and wavy. If you're into big models, why not make a decent one your nearest maritime museum would love to have?

  • Now there's a white guy added for color.

  • He should redo the RMS Titanic as the wreck sight.

  • @Travisjd117

I think someone else has done a complete relica of the sunken Titanic. But not of toothpicks

  • you should try doing women in your spare time...

  • Isn't that the dude from The Office?

  • but i would not make somthing that big

  • you know this man inspired me to make a ferris wheel out of tooth picks its not finished, i need to make 19 more cars and i still need to make the suports.

  • 8 Years too much time LOL

  • WOW, did they say he didn't get laid for 8 years?

  • lol

  • queen mary 2 isn't the bigest liners its the SS OASIS its like a floating LA

  • Thats big...

  • Comment removed

  • I have never heard of "SS Oasis". Could you tell me something about it?

  • actually its oasis of the sea's

  • Actually, yes it is. The QM2 is an ocean liner; the Oasis is not - it is a cruise ship, and it would never be able to maintain a punishing transatlantic schedule as the QM2 does.

  • Really, that is interesting! So you are saying the ocean liners are better structurally built?

  • Definitely - Also, monetarily the cost is significant. The QM2 liner MUST maintain a very punishing schedule & they use the North Atlantic to cross (6 days, 30 times a year or more) while cruise ships must cross the calmer South Atlantic (10-12 days, twice a year). QM2 has sheltered balconies to the 7th deck, the hull is reinforced, the shape of the whole ship is streamlined to cut the waves. She has to withstand 50ft + seas - with no ports nearby for a detour & even carries extra propellers.

  • Also - if ships & cruising/crossing interests you - read about the history of Cunard - it is very interesting - & the QM2 is a harkening back to the days of the original Queen Mary - when the schedule must be kept - regardless of what Mother Nature was doing.

  • I am pretty up on Cunard. But that is interesting about Cruise ships. I thought the QM2 was a cruise ship??!!

  • QM2 is an oceanliner, purpose-built for crossing the Atlantic - the first liner to be built since the 1960's - the QE2 was the last before her. Mickey Arison wanted a liner & to recreate the "Golden Age of Travel". Cunard's Queen Victoria & new Queen Elizabeth (2010) are cruise ships - QV was originally going to be a Princess ship then was delivered as QV. I wouldn't want to cross on them.

  • Im glad Cunard is still spitting them out. I like the old ships before 1940

  • A Masterpiece..Artistic Genius..Fantastic..

  • thanks

  • I want to sink that umm hmm

  • now i will put it in the water OH SHIT ITS SINKING MY PRECIOUS TOOTHPICKS NOOOOO!

  • god no offence but hes wasted his life on a boat made of toothpicks??

    :P

  • Hey It's a hobby and only took 8 years

  • Forget ocean liners, do the Yamato! :)

  • I will put it on my list. I have 7 or 8 ships ahead of it.

  • this is what i'd call amazing. isn't a video with all of the pieces put together ?

  • Yes there is. Use WAYNE KUSY for your search. Also, use TOOTHPICK SHIP and you will find a comedy video produced by Atomic Wedgie.

  • Wow.... Left me wordless..

  • Man, you're 106 yrs old? (profile research here) thanx!! Wayne

  • No I'm 16, I just added the 0 in the middle. =p lol.

  • thats so cool ill build houses out of toothpicks

  • Do you have any of them on YouTube???

  • hahaha :-p

    snorky, it's nothing personal :-)

    nice boat!

    haha :-p

  • You're welcome... I admire your tenacity...

Keep up the great work and find the woman of your dreams to share your success with. Life is waaaay too short.

  • Well thank you!!! It does look like the toothpicks own me, but YES I do have a life. Rock Band, woman friend, programmer. But that big 25 foot Queen Mary did leave questioning 'what da hell am I doin' this fur?'. I finished, now I make them much smaller. MUCH smaller. Life is short to make them any bigger!!!!!

    Cheers- Wayne

  • Good to hear my friend! =)

Man, you even rock n' roll on top of hangin' out with your lady friend? Wow, that's something to be proud of...

Do you by any chance kitbash regular models? If so, are you for hire?

  • What does kitbash mean? I think I heard the term before.

  • It is the process of putting different models or pieces together to build an entirely different and unique model.

  • Awesome work but I'll bet anything he leads a lonely life.

  • that would be soo cool to stick a couple chainsaw motors in, make it r/c!! :D

  • It would sink like a rock. It probably would go for 15 seconds or so. Maybe next model. I am currently working on the SS American Star. I will see what I can do.

  • true. I do think it would be very neat though!! and more enjoyable, instead of just staring at it all day, lol. :P

  • how long did it take you to build the queen mary?

  • About 8 years. But I wasn't working on it on a daily basis. Nor did i work on it 8 hrs a day. There were periods when I didn't work on it all. If I totaled the number of hours as 8 hr days, with weekends off, the project probably took 3 years or so.

  • wow thats amazing i build ship models but not from scratch or toothpicks for that matter. you have an amazing talent. awsome

  • Well than you very much. No matter what they are made of, models are cool!

  • true very true

  • what dose it have for power?

  • No it does not. No engine in the engine room, just toothpicks and maybe a missing pen or exacto knife of two.

    thanks - Wayne

  • i like the way the info talks about "his aparment" when it should be "my aparment"

    VERY IMPRESSED!!!

how much spare time do you have?!?!

  • The real Question is: how many more back and neck muscles do I have left to sprane? Yeooooch!! Thank you for the compliments!

    Wayne

  • you must be an engineer or something exellent work. you should have namend it after you not the queen mary. Alot of spare time was right, whats your next project.

  • Right now, I am building the SS American Star. It is a very interesting ship wreck that can be found here at YouTube. thanks for the compliments. Now off I go with more picking.

  • is that model before it split or after?

  • You are probably thinking of the Titanic which split in half during it's sinking. The ship in this video is the Queen Mary. I built it in 6 sections to move it easier. The real ship (1936) is in Long Beach CA. There is videos of it here on YouTube. Thanks for your question! Wayne

  • no, look up the american star, it lies on a beach split in 2 pieces, one is gone, but the bow is still there.

  • Whoops! I got the wrong ship. I am going to build it before it went aground, but paint it blue and keep the name American Star. I like the paint configuration.

  • so do I

  • you are my hero

  • Well, thank you! that made my toothpick day.

    wayne

  • Yes I did, when I completed, I received much US network TV reviews and much much more. worth the 8 years. Thank you very much for your compliments.

    Wayne

  • no offense, but, NERD!

  • Guilty as charged!

    wayne

  • says you who makes videos with lego! you fucking hypocrite

  • ya i know, i am a nerd to.

  • me too

  • wow i dident think it was that big ! im building a toothpick titanic but that queen mary makes my titanic look like a kiddie's toy

  • I got a toothpick Titanic. It is 10 feet long. I sold it to a Florida Museum. Toothpick Titanics are good to have around.

    Wayne

  • Did you get alot of money for it?

  • I received $15,000 Amercian dollars. I dont know what that would be in English Pounds, with the shrinking dollar, I am sure not that much.

  • about £7,000, thats fantastic!

Youll be rich if you keep it up!

  • FYI, I believe I will be in the next 'Ripley's Believe It or Not' book, believe it or not. I will believe it when I see it. A company from Great Bardfield in Essex contacted me for pics. Many thanks for the comps again, that was a fast response!!

    Wayne

  • i live 200 miles from maidstone, and i visited a friend in chicago last year, well he lives in a town called morris sbout 60 miles away from chicago, that sears tower was amazing!

  • Speaking of Sears Tower, our British lads are off to go to the skydeck today. Small world!!! Maidstone and England in general were a blast. Great beer and lager!! My personal fave is Spitfire, Stella, and Bishop's Finger. Cuty Sark was cool too!! I am building one now! Cheers!

  • i live in the county of cornwall ( thats the south west of england ), once again that boat is wonderful.

  • Wow, the reason why I was curious is because I am in a band (Heavy Mental) that played in Kent and we are hosting a band here in Chicago, from Maidstone UK called One Day Elliott. Great British Alt rock group!!!! I live on toothpicks and R&R. Thanks again!!!!!

  • Actually many Cornish people don't consider themselves English at all. They are the surviving Celts of the south who withstood the Anglo-Saxon (Germanic) invaders. Even now the English like to ridicule those from Cornwall, Wales, Scotland and Ireland (although the Irish have 'minority' status now and are 'protected')...well hey ho.

  • thats one cleaver man

  • Thank you very much!! (I am the builder Wayne) What part of the UK are you?

  • Yes they are. Cap Arcona, Bremen, and the Wilhelm Gustloft. With the exception of the Bremen, they were sunk during the war in evacuation operations as the Germans were pulling out of Poland and the Baltic region. These liners were built before the war, not intended to be used in military operations. But the Germans were ahead of the British in ship building by 10 years. The Bremen (1929) looks just like the Queen Mary and Elizabeth (1936- 1940 respectively). Not much is known about them.

  • You are certainly right, it was one of the biggest ships afloat. I have it on my "to do" list. Right now, I have 3 pre-war German ships on deck.
