Kanazawa really experienced, the way he performs his kata's are with true feeling!!some just see this as a dance but when you perform it like him it's much more than a dance!!Just got my blue belt, i learn't this 1 and Jion my first 2 trainings as a blue belt..Anyway do not disrespect him cause he's brilliant!!Grtz!!
Its amazing. It DOES look like a dance, but it definitely is NOT. Unfortunately it takes so many years, to realize that kata is the essence of karate. I don't know this kata. Maybe one day... Thank you Master Kanazawa, and thank you orbelus.
Kanazawa Sensei was one of the first JKA Instructors who came out of japan spreading the Art in the West. There is a sence of REALITY in his Karate and he is inspiring.
I had the pleasure of training with him in the UK a few times. RESPECT to the Sensei.
I completely agree with you... I am lucky enough to be able to train with him once a year and he is incredible to watch and its such an honor to have him train amongst you and with you...
exactly . i agree with you totally. the guy should be an inspiration to everyone of us, no matter the martial art background we come from. he is a great master
he's definitely an inspiration to me. i've always enjoyed kata but my kata dramatically improved once i started watching kanazawa perform. it would be a great honor to meet him someday..
i ll probably stick with a simple kata. tekki nidan or nijushiho. there is chinte , unsu, gojushiho, kanku sho, which i still have not learned. anyway thanx for answering take care
well u there are certain katas u need to kno as a black belt there are 15 u NEED TO KNO but there are others which instructors would not ask u to perform in a grading or tournament the 15 must knos are 5 heians,3 tekkis, bassai dai, kankudai, jion, jitte, gankaku, hangetsu, enpi
Before stating that someone is wrong you should check the facts or do some research if in doubt. I see you are only 19 which means I've been practicing for more then your entire life. I know exactly which color my belt had when I was 2nd kyu.
The system was just different: 10k-6k: white and red stripes, 5k: Yellow, 4k: Orange, 3k: Green, 2k: blue, 1k: brown, shodan: have a guess:)
everytime i forget something...i look his videos...he is a living legend!!!

The reason there are few comments is because most of us remain speechless seeing his performances.

Isnt his punch at 0:41 completely crapp??

Dude, you obviously have no idea who he is or what he's doing. Get your black belt in shotokan before you make stupid comments like that again.
