My 125 T-10 scooter has been a nightmare. Have had to remove centre stand which scrapped the floor at the merest hint of a lean and have had to fit a petrol tank on the rear carrier so it is gravity fed, the bike wouldn't start quickly or run over 45mph for more than a couple of minutes otherwise. Top speed is around 55mph so feels inadequate on main roads where other 125's with L plates pass me with ease ! The list goes on but it is a pretty bike and does 90mpg so I'm persevering with it !
I'm 17, just bought a Jinny, and I must admit is a great machine. For £500 I wasn't expecting perfection, but it's a great runner. Look after your bike, and your bike will look after you.
Trying to compare cruisers to sports bike is like trying to compare goats and donkeys - totally different animals built for completely different purposes. In any case, people buy different bikes for different reasons.
I like cruisers for their deep sound and presence but sports bikes for acceleration and high performance - one can't compare the two.
fuck me why you people cry over people dissing your jinnys i dont give a shit ive just blew a marauder up and gon and got a 125 11 without ever seeing one. been from china means nothing to me ive had a jap bike that lasted 17 thou ( breaking down and costing hundreds in between) so my aim is to beet that to stop this stupid debate
it is true that stuff dose rust but that only if you keep it in the damp weather and no stuff dont fall of aslong as there made up from the creats they came in over in this country there really a summer time bike and if you do plan on getting one put some with a better compund tyer on them the tyers thay they come with and very hard and you dont have a comfortble ride like you would with british made tyers
People were just as dismissive of the Jap bikes in the early days - I guess most people here are too young to remember this. The need to wade in with 'your bikes are crap' statements just emphasises the low average age here. Grow up; get a life! If you're happy to get the spanners out and learn a little then they're a great bargain. This will also set you up well for future bikes. Join the Jinlun Owners forum and make your own mind up ;)
Dont dis jinnys i had one for a wile and if was very well made nothing went wrong with it and to went like a bat out of hell now i got a harly and my daughter has my old jinny and she still manges to catch up with me on it so shut the fuck up you retard

I will 'dis' jinny's all i want. An it shows that you have a Harley (if you really do) because only an idiot would buy a Harley just like the same idiot that would buy a Jin-lun. Just remember to get out of the way when i'm out on my R6.
ahhh yes those yamaha r6's just like pretty much every other yamaha sports bike that nobody cares about cause there the equivilant of a chavs done up peugot cars posers bikes :)
OR..... they could be the most track focused supersport's 600 on the road. That can average the TT course at 126mph. Win the first two supersports titles as soon as it came out and with the right pilot aboard could easily show a clean pair of heels to 80% of the bikes out there.
i got a jinlun texan 125cc its goin ok for me so far wish the club was closer to me . i will admit to all you ppl with da bad comments , yer there chinese , yer there cheap but so what, low to insure, runs smooth in all weathers and still a head turner. and mine goes 85mph so ,, wtf to it only goes 70mph . lol
superduperseb. your jinlun(or whatever theyre called) will only do 70mph because they are shit! i wouldnt want to go any faster on one of those things anyway, its made from toymetal. thats why they only cost about£40 brand new...
£40 right have you had your head up your ass all this time i just bought mine today and it cost me well in to the £1000 mark so what if there chinese if ppl are happy buyin them then thay must be doin something right or they wouldnt be such a high demand for then no would it so stop being an ass clown and giving jinnys a bad press mo fo
Jinluns are not shit. 70mph isn't great but I'm really enjoying my bike at the moment. I only paid £800 off ebay and it hadn't been registered or ridden once. Jinny's are great.
i decided to keep my banged out fall apart jinlun for a while as a project im gonna weld up the frame get a new front wheel and long forks turn it into a chopper

how can some china bikes be shit and others not? they are all HONDA copy engines and are made in the same sweatshop. CHEAP!! china is starving the west of metal & fuel now(have you noticed prices ROCKETING????????? why do you support china??they are also destroying the planet.POLLUTION.
ok so what the fuck have you got then a shitty little midi moto with go faster strips get a life mate if that what these ppl enjoy doin then leave them to it i had a jinlun one and passed it on to my son for him first bike and then i will pass him on the bike that i got now A Harley Davidson so stick that up you ass and smoke it
chinese bolts are shit quality these bikes look nice but are crap i maintained and was attentative to my own 125-11 jinlun cruiser and all its ever done is be a complete bastad currently im phoneing up garages to go and get it repaired the engine needs splitting the things a bastad i cant wait to get rid of the bastad and get something reliable but i did enjoy the first few hundred miles me and miss jinlun shared then WHAM HELLO IM A JINLUN IM GOING TO BE A PIECE OF SHITTY BASTAD TO YOU NOW
chinese bolts are crap i totally agree although i never had any trouble with mine i know of people who have mainly through overtightening tho because they are so soft
china bikes are shit. they are made in sweat shops by 10yr old kids, child exploitation is a disgrace in 2008 and you help maintain chinas strangle hold on the west, metal prices are ridiculous now(thanks to people buying TOY bikes).i bet your clothes are all fake lacoste too..... U R CHEAP FRAUDS.
not really true some are not good but dont tar them all with the same brush, and no my clothes are not fake anything i havent yet bought into that i gotta have me a fashion label be it bike or clothing
when you pass your test you can scrap the toymetal bike and get a proper bike....... your street cred will go through the roof and you wont look like losers anymore... take your bike test SOON
you talkin rubbish it nothing to do with bike if anything it L plaates that dont help as most people seem to think these bikes are 400cc when seen "in flesh" they look great ride nice and only fault is they dont do one in a big enough engine
they ride like they are a 125cc cruiser ,cruisers are not fast by nature if you wanted speed you should have looked at that before you bougfht it there plenty of info about and for a small engine on a big bike they do pretty well.and as you so quick to point out they cheap so why blow it up you wont get much insurence
In my opinion the only people who have problems with these bikes are those who expect to get a bike and use it as if it where a car just get on and never maintain it!
I have always bought old jap bikes before but some of them mostly suzukis where just as prone to needing maintanence!
Just remember if you are the type that only has a single screw driver and a cheap adjustable wrench then dont buy one!
As for the build quality of these bikes, I'm on my 2nd Jinlun (1st was written off in a crash) and have done over 17000km in 8 months with no complaints.

they are not that bad as you say check your nuts and maintenance i would do on any bike it the fact they are chinese and cheap go back a few years and you could be reading same comments on honda yamaha etc all the jap bikes and funny enough if you look prob 50% or more parts made for them now are made in china.
video okay but as a jinlun owner for a year these bikes are unsafe bits fall off ,crap bolts that shear leaving me on the north circular with engine hanging out ,gear shift falling off, pullback on back wheel snapping these are really bad quality, should not be sold in the uk especially to kids unless you want them dead

just shows how little you know about these bikes weazlechin
How many 125s can handle over 1000 miles a month in all weathers, keep on going after all that and still draw good comments from other bikers.
Mine's still going strong after the engine on a friend's Suzuki gave up at 7000 miles.
