  • Wrestling allowed the Baron to earn his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology.

  • His ears are WIN!

  • When I was 5 years old, the Baron scared the living hell out of me. He's one of the best!

  • Good to see he isn't a crazed lunatic. I think the claw takes over his brain and he actually is possesed by it. Which is even scarier. And that is why those two guys were jumping everytime he raised his voice. They weren't sure if the claw was beginning to take him over and they would need to run or he was just raising his voice. When I was a child and did the claw I noticed a hauntyness would start to take me over and my hand became powerful. I began evolving into The Claw.

    But it disappeared

  • I love the Baron. He is a character & one of my favorites.

  • Seig Hiel Deutschland

  • Der claw vill never die

  • The Baron indeed was a substitute teacher in Minnesota and lives in Prior Lake.

  • I really liked Baron Von Raschke when he was in the AWA. He sounds like he is really a knowledgeable, intelligent human being.

  • Classic!

  • I had this guy as a substitute teacher at Burnsville High School in MN in 95. Is he still alive? The Claw!

  • As a kid, I use to chase after my younger brother & sister, threatening to inflict the Baron's claw on them.

And I would always start by goosestepping around the room, sending 'em both running out, screaming.

  • Most of the great heels are in real life nice guys.

  • His voice and accent remind me of Jesse Ventura.

  • Jesse Ventura?? Baron is doing a German gimmick with a German accent...how is that like Jesse?

  • I obviously refer to his normal speaking voice during the interview, not his psycho-Nazi routine.

  • Wasnt this guy the Claw?

  • Jim Raschke was a master showman. He'd get you so pissed off with the "Beast of Berlin" routine that your blood would boil. Here you find out he's a loving father and husband, as well as a college grad, US Army vet, and Olympian. It was all in good fun- and we owe him our thanks!

  • He seems to have been teaching the ultimate warrior how to speak?

  • Boy, I bet he gets nothing but compliments! Imagine if you complained. You'd get da CLAW!

  • "Dat iz all da peeple need ta know!"

  • Comrade Von Raschke is an honorable man!

  • who would have ever thought the baron was that cool!

  • Thanks for posting. So strange to see him speaking as a regular guy!

  • Good interview guys.

  • this guy is my uncle. pretty cool. i remember seeing him at our family reunions. he use to pick me up by the top of my head with "the claw" when i was little. pretty crazy dude.

  • @claytonlevijames i'm sure he has plenty of aches and pains because contrary to popular belief pro wrestling isn't totally fake!

  • Is he from Germany??

  • Actually, Nebraska.

  • Boy, how I miss the good old days of wrestling. The Baron is great. It's funny to see him out of character.

  • It's really great to see the one and only Baron Von Rashke...I grew up in Milwaukee and loved the wrestling show there...the Crusher, Larry the axe Henning and many more ... Thanks for the memories Mr. Rashke.

  • I'm going to hang out with the Baron at all the cool record stores!
