  • finaley a vid for mac!

  • TNX!!! :D

  • For the first method can you turn it into avi. or something else other than quicktime?

  • When using your iSight, how did you manage to get such a good view of the sky from your computer?

and how do you connect a camera to your computer?

  • Can anyone recommend software that is like Gawker but for the PC, thanks

  • Does Gwaker still work if my computer is in sleep?

  • i dont get this; the program dont detect my Nikon D70S OR my Sony videocamera... anyone knows how i make the program use these cameras?

  • Gawker started gaying out on my mac on 640 480 vid with 5 secs at 40 frames. Evocam looks to be running very smoothly and professionally compared to the Gawker.

I was actually surprised at the many functions it sported inside it's simple looking interface. A bit difficult to grasp at first but after spending about 5 mins on the program, it becomes second nature. I am testing it's performance as we speak so I can't speak too soon yet. It just might be my computer if it freezes again. 1.5gb RAM

  • will it take loads of memory? like if I did that for 24-hour 5sec per frame. how much would that take? 500mb? 2gb?

  • @GuineaForce

    I took 12 hours at 1 frame @ 5 secs.

    300MB, not too bad

  • I've done this with Power Director on the pc.

I drop the video clip on the timeline or storyboard. Select Speed. A box pops up which lets you use sliders or type the duration time in hr, min, or sec. I prefer the latter.

  • This seems more like how to make a stop-motion, I was expecting how to take a video and make it go faster with is very easy with apps like Final Cut,

  • i know how to do this in final cut pro which I feel is far better. (take a clip, add that to the 'time line', select desired section, then there is a render option which allows you to speed or slow down the content. This also gives you a lot of control of how much you want to see and how long you want to view it in. I would be more specific but I dont have final cut pro on this computer.)

following the above method is ok. But if you have footage from another source its nice to use that.

  • cool

  • Great stuff thanks

  • You can just do time lapse with iMovie HD 6. It has the time lapse feature built in. (you can control how often it captures a frame too).

  • Hey, that´s pretty cool
