  • @IhanNormal what?

  • @IhanNormal Wrote finnish, traslated to english I wrote: Wonder pilots have so strong psych to feel back to cocpit after really hard landing. For examble, captain for the SAS MD -plane, which after take-off lost all thrust landed on a field close to Arlanda airfield without any fatalities. The Captain wrote a book, but dit not fly anymore as a captain.

  • get the adds off here ffs

  • An Hero !

  • Boeing or Airbus ?

  • @FirstFlight271 airbus you homosexual, boeing is american shit trash, the european master race technology is the best, boeing is crap planes if it was a boeing it would be fucked up probaly or it would dismember, but a airbus stays strong because of european superior technology you homosexual fat american bastard

  • @ilias2oo6 Ikno what it is . Calm down in get some pussy damn lol . ikno whysoserious ? lol ikno about it .

  • @FirstFlight271 but u ahve to admit this airbus didnt dismember when he landed on plane, look on this video, ethiopian boeing landin gin water,it FUCKING DISMEMBERED!

  • @ilias2oo6 Chill the fuck down. No one cares which plane is which. Take your fucked up biased remarks back up your ass and congratulate the pilot dipshit. The pilot saved the day.

  • @zhengzhang123 i dont congratulate american fat faggotry, fuck american homosexuals

  • @ilias2oo6 also not bad for fly by wire planes when both engines are out. If that were an F-16 they would have had to eject.

  • @mohammeddavis why is that? there's still apu so the hydraulics should work. and it's possible to control the aircraft even without that. i don't see a connection. maybe i'm missing something?

  • There should be a statue of this man in every United States airport. And please Mr. Announcer, that was not by any means a "crash" landing, but a perfectly executed water landing in a landplane by a very skilled pilot.

  • There should be a statue of this man in every United States airport.

  • Mr sulenberger IS the next Chuck Norris!

  • Mr. Sullenberger you win at life!

  • soooooo basically what i learned from this video, is that sully is even more badass than once thought to be?

  • @HDsoaring211 I have IE. AdBlock is for Firefox.

  • @pingpongpung Download adblock. Problem solved.

  • Amazing, he was able to redo the SAME FLIGHT his first time back in the cockpit. Sully for President!!!

  • 0:23 looks like they actually can walk on water.

  • Good thing they where on a Airbus ;)

  • CAN YOU PUT THE "SKIP THE AD" AT THE BEGINNING OF THE AD (instead of 10-15 seconds after) PLEASE ?

  • the ads on youtube have so far wasted alot of time from my life, get rid of the ads

  • Man, AP narrators suck. I guess they just don't even care, since they know they're gonna be dubbed over on all the networks anyway.

  • real heroes do exist !!

  • What is stunning is how cool everybody has been trained to remain. I would have gottten an epilepsy attack of panick that is really one shit of a hell of self control!

  • he´s the coolest guy i know

  • Feels normal, Feels natural, Feels like Im home again. Now thats a true hero.

  • What about the first officer?, He had just as much to do with this as the Captain, Why is he not on the news or anything?, It's wrong that just the Captain get's all the credit when it's a team effort

  • @umpalumpa101909 You dumbhead. What about Buzz Aldrin w/ Neil Armstrong. Armstrong gets all the credit. You have been reported. As for rdrd, you are a buffoon. If both engines were out, throttle would do no good. You have also been reported.

  • @syzygy10111 What the hell are you on about?, you reported me?, Yes Armstrong got all the credit, i also think That was wrong, You reported us?, I'm sorry but if you start reporting people for expressing the Truth, You are a complete ass hole, The thing is, The copilot had the job of trying to restart the engines, along with a number of more things, Yet he gets mentioned nowhere, That is completly not fair, I should report you for being a Complete idiot

  • @umpalumpa101909 If you think it's wrong, stop complaining, and start a petition.

  • @syzygy10111 And the point of that would be?, All i was doing is stating my opinions, IF you have a problem with that, Don't read it, simple as.

No need to be an ass hole

  • @umpalumpa101909 Sully dead-sticked it into the Hudson by himself.

  • @LouisMenchise Yes he did, Because he is the Capitan, But the First officer had a Crucial assignment to try and restart the engines amongst other things, But yet he gets no Creditability?, It's wrong, The First officer has just as much to do as the Captain, and at the end of the day, They work as a team, And they should be Credited as a team. Not just the Captain.

If the first officer restarted the engines and the Captain was able to maintain control, The captain would still get all credit,

  • @umpalumpa101909 Actually, Captain Sully has been quite vocal and gracious in his praise of the team. In his book , "Highest Duty", he speaks most eloquently of Capt. Jeff Skyles, as well as recognizing the contributions of C1549's Flight Attendants, the ferry boat crews, & emergency personnel.

Normally, the 1st officer would take control of the plane while the Captain considered alternatives & weighed options; but since Capt. Jeff had so few hours in the Airbus A320, that was not an option.

  • @LouisMenchise And it's wrong, Because they work as a team, they should be Credited as a team!

  • @umpalumpa101909 The side stick on an Airbus is handled by one person. The Captain ordered the 1st officer off of his controls and proclaimed, "my aircraft."

  • @LouisMenchise Yes, But as i said, They always fly as a team, So they should be credited as a team

  • @rdrd4544 Read the FDR transcript... he never pushed up the throttles and #1 responded to a throttle reduction. Hence "Mr. I forgot to push up the throttle".

  • Hey it's "Mr. I forgot to push up the throttle".

  • i never knew chelsey sullenburger retired

  • he are so cool!!!

  • Speaking as a Left of Center / Liberal Democrat, I'm reminded of the words of America's Great Communicator, The Late (Republican) President Ronald Reagan.

"We (The People of The United States) don't have to turn to our history books for heroes. They're all around us."

As I look back upon "The Miracle On The Hudson", and the works of Capt. Skyles, the flight attendants Doreen, Donna, & Sheila, 1st Responders, & ferry boat crews, those word not only seem profound, they also ring prophetic.

  • Hope that in future ........... all planes in severe problems WILL have

a SULLY PIC [pilot in command] i.e. to fly probably by the "body-part"

    you normaly sit on

  • Sully Sullenberger got lucky that day. There was no skill involved. Any other day and we wouldn't be calling him a hero

  • @DJEMMEY25

we should not be commenting on his skill or quick thinking but rather his professionalism and his situation management skills. Unlike most people who would freak out, he remained calm, the only reason why 155 people lived. If you were a pilot and your engines died, would you sit back in your seat and fly it or will you say screw this, i'm dying anyways?

  • @ie210 Management skills?? What management skills did he need! lol I'd try land the plane safely like anyone else would.

  • @ie210 there is such thing as a safe crash landing, even on land with no gear down. water is just a little cushion to fall on if you do it softly.

  • @StevenTaylorH

A dead stick landing on water is far more dangerous than on land. Water will tear an aircraft to bits if touchdown is not perfect. The pilots acheived as perfect a landing as is possible but those pilots would also be the first to admit they were also extraordinarily lucky.

  • @DJEMMEY25 People who seek to marginalize the accomplishments of others tend to be pathetic, insecure soles who feel threatened by the accomplishments of others.

As for "luck"?? "Luck" is a phenomenon which occurs when the thresholds of preparation converge with the thresholds of opportunity and circumstance.

Capt. Sully has stated unequivocally that this was not a feat that he accomplished alone. The flight crew, ferry boat crews, and first responders contributed their best efforts as well.

  • @Outlaw1257 Shout the fuck up you muppet!

  • Comment removed

  • @DJEMMEY25 Sooooo..... looks like the truth hit a little too close to home for you, DJEMMY25!! Such a sad, pathetic soul; like the sole of a shoe, you are reduced to having to look upward just to see the bottom.

Perhaps if you learn to deal with your anger issues, you might be able to direct your energy to accomplishing something more that demonstrating your foolishness.

  • This crew is awsome! Great job!

  • Honestly don't know why this pilot is considered, a "hero."

Yess, he made a good emergency landing, But:

Every official Pilot should know how to ditch in the water, it's a required learning processing skill, that every pilot needs to know, in case of an emergency.

  • @Jetplane1123 this is not a Flight simulator!!! he is a Hero...

  • @Jetplane1123 Because he saved 155 people and did something you couldn't even do in Microsoft Flight Simulator properly. Shut up troll.

  • @Jetplane1123

You can't train for ditching in the water properly, it's not just a skill but a matter of being accurate, and yes he's a hero because the chances of saving 155 people by landing in the water perfectly is quite small.

  • @Jetplane1123 Why do you feel the need to say this, ? I Bet if you were in this situation you would be bricking it.

  • @FlightSimulation2010 To be honest, hes right. he actually said himself that hes not a hero. Im not saying that we should overlook the fact that he saved 155 lives, but he did so with preparedness, as well as careful thinking and deleberation.

  • @Jetplane1123 Because he really is the only pilot in aviation History to actually Ditch a plane succesfully.

  • i thought it was this year :) in january

  • i gotta fly on the 31st and im scared shitless

  • @tj1990 Don't worry. Just to reassure you the stats are something like there'd be about a 0.9% chance that you'd be on a crash plane if you went on 500,000 flights, the chance spreading throughout all the flights, basically meaning a 0.0000018% chance of your flight having an emergency.

  • @VirtualAviators tell that to all the people who died in plane crashes....but anyway...thanks for trying to ease the worry. i flew on the 31st of august and obviously im fine because im writing you this message...also....i wonder about the other things that have happened in my life, and what were the odds of those things happening.....hm..something to ponder...

  • WHAT ABOUT FIRST OFFICER JEFF SKILES HE HAD A BIG PART IN THAT FLIGHT

  • hun, i want to share a discus with that guy in the alps see how good he glides

  • @gustavo87467357

I think you mean the 'Duo Discus' ? Or do you want to sit on the wing?

  • @jelmerholland the duo the duo... anyways it's understandable.. but will be nice to sit on the wing..lol

  • @gustavo87467357

Haha, yes, off course it's understandable, otherwise I wouldn't have said it (A)...

You flew (or maybe flying) the Duo? Nice plane right? (L)

  • @jelmerholland no i didn't but i would like to, i only flew with blanik.. but i would like to fly with the ask 21 mi, but it's expensive..

  • @gustavo87467357

ASK 21 is nice, I've got my lessons on that plane. I also flew the Puchasz.. you should try that once XD Sux kinda hard... Junior is nice, 1 person plane, very easy to fly and it isn't that expensive...

Buy why it's expensive? You can sign in for a club right? Then you don't have to pay yourself bankrupt ;)

  • @jelmerholland in the club i'm in they don't have the ask 21 mig, and i'm tired of having to pay for towing XD, so i was looking for buy one but a brand new is more than 50 thousand euros..

  • @gustavo87467357

Lol, why you'd like to have a new one? 2nd hand planes are even so good.. (up to a certain level off course)

You should look for a 2nd hand plane, I guess you could find smth great.. and if you don't have that much money. Buy a K2 .. lol.. you could even get those planes for free (my instructor told me that ;) )

  • @jelmerholland i'll look for that, thanks :D

  • @gustavo87467357

    Your welcome

  • great pilot

  • I've heard he can fire lightning bolts out his arse and cure blindness too.

    Raise the frigin wages godamnit!

  • After reading "Highest Duty", I now understand something about this saga a little bit better.

We live in a "disposable" society. Everything from shaving razors to ink cartridges, to children, to elderly people, to dedicated employees....... And at a time when people have sadly discovered how easily their lives can be dispatched into the "disposable" realm by layoffs, restructurings, or business failures, we have one fine crew who considered no one in their charge to be "disposable".

    155 lived.

  • @Outlaw1257 Very well put!!! I'm going to quote you . . . . . .

"We live in a 'disposable' society. Everything from shaving razors to ink cartridges, to children, to elderly people, to dedicated employees....... • @Outlaw1257 wow i'm speachless

  • I wanted to be an airline pilot when I was a child, but unfortunately my poor vision ruled out that possibility.

After seeing the movie "Airplane", I decided that I wanted to be a "Jive Translator". Unfortunately, with cutbacks in airline personnel, that position has been eliminated. ;o(

  • @Outlaw1257 lol

  • I want him to be my teacher, awesome guy.

  • people say his first flight since the hudson incident was late....trust me....better late than never...

  • The bus flies itself!

  • actually the plane doesnt fly itself it has the Fly-By-Wire which enables the plane to save itself in an emergency

and every plane in the world has the ability to keep in flight by itslef called autopilot

  • you need to do some research buddy. fly-by-wire simply means that the controls of the plane are not physically connected to the control surfaces. Fly-by-wire aircraft use a system of computers that monitor inputs to the flight controls and signal the hydraulics to actuate the ailerons and elevons as required. No force is required on the pilots part.

  • My friend, I fly the "bus," and it flys itself!

  • So, davidsholem, did the Airbus "fly itself" into the Hudson??

  • I have a feeling you are either an incompetent Cessna pilot or a wan-a-bee! Which is it? In the future, please do not comment unless you do your homework!

  • 33 years experience and over 14,000 hours of flight time?? An "incompetent Cessna pilot", or a "wan-a-bee", davidsholem??

    Yeah, right!!

  • BTW, nice vid of your landing in a Mooney MJ20!! Looks like you even had to compliment yourself in your comments!!

An Airbus Captain with a fan club with ONE..... count it...... ONE member!!

ROTFLM "Incompetent Cessna pilot/wannabee AO, dvidsholem!!

  • BudLight Salutes YOU, Mr. Airbus Cockpit Button Pushing Systems Monitor Man!!

You keep the skies safe!! Because no matter how many hours you've logged shooting your ILS approaches in a Mooney MJ20, your Airbus "flies itself"!!

  • @davidsholem So the plane flew into the hudson?

  • Watch FZ2RzOVe0JE

  • Yeah for some good news! This made my day!

  • Wow, that was way back in January?? Shit, time goes by FAST!!!

  • Where do you live where saving lives is not an event?!
