And by the way, it's 2012, not 1952, according to public health polls majority of Americans at least are having sex before marriage, so I'm pretty sure we can throw out the 'white for virgins only' rule.

I got my dress altered when i was 4 months preggo (couldnt even tell i was preggo) as i have always been a fit person. It origionally had a zipper back and I had a lacing backing (like corsette) put in, it fit me thru my entire pregnancy, I did not end up getting married before i had the baby , we decided to wait and enjoy the day to our fullest (hikeing, sips of wine, an other events you cant do when your pregnant) and the dress still fits! Just make sure you wait to hem the bottom of dress!!

Your shape changes so much in pregnancy. Instead of adding more fabric with a zipper in the back I would put lacing in the back so the size of the dress could be easily adjusted.

@bonezillion OR the couple could have been engaged before finding out she's pregnant. It's not uncommon for couples to be engaged for a year or more before the wedding. Which I'm sure was the case here, since she already had a dress that fit her pre--pregnancy body.

This is just me saying...I don't like how brides get the mermaid style dresses, then after months waiting find out they're pregnant, and later expect the dress to still fit...even though it's going to CLEARLY show the baby bump. Either you get a nice A-line or long dress to hide the belly or just wait until your honeymoon. Stop taking chances and think it's going to work if you're a few months pregnant while wearing a tight dress on the stomach....doesn't look good at all.

But that could be the reason for a pregnant bride. I´m engaged and pregnant but I don´t really want to be a pregnant bride so...I´ll wait until our baby is born.

Marriage is nothing physical or tangible; it is just a concept of the mind that we invented a few thousand years ago. We've been having kids for millions of years without marriage even existing. Bottom line, marriage does nothing to determine an individuals ability to be a good parent. You either are, or you aren't. And she's getting married anyway so it doesn't even matter.
