@beamprimary It's CALIFORNIA, protesting for concealed carry won't get you anywhere; its too damn liberal. As it currently is, CA is a "may-issue" state, meaning sheriffs can approve CCW permits at their discretion. Conservative areas or more rural areas tend to issue more, while more liberal areas are basically no-issue. Ex: There was a sheriff in Orange County who was basically running a shall-issue county...when he got kicked out of office in '08, the incumbent revoked many of those permits.

If the California open carriers had use some personal restraint and common sense, and limited their open carrying to places like the woods, and other non-populated rural areas, they would still be able to open carry today. Instead they had to go into places like downtown L.A with a gun on their hip. Hello Sir, A friend's grandfather died a few weeks ago, and he has a vast collections of guns and ammo. Were talking about probably 50-80 assorted guns and rifles and maybe a few thousand rounds He also lives in California and would like to know how to get rid of them and probably get some cash in return. He hates guns and would not keep any. 2 local dealers does not want them since according to them the guns are in horrible conditions. Local P.D does not want them either. Any suggestions?

soihitit this is CA and it is almost impossible to get a CCW in this state. Only a few rural counties MIGHT give a CCW permit. No one would have to open carry if they would just allow CCW. I watched a car to car shooting last week. I chased down the shooter called the police. Shooter had ditched the weapon and victim car got away so cops did nothing. I will probably run into him one day on 22fwy i drive daily. He could easily follow me and gun me down when I get out but it is illegal to CCW.

@beamprimary It's CALIFORNIA, protesting for concealed carry won't get you anywhere; its too damn liberal. As it currently is, CA is a "may-issue" state, meaning sheriffs can approve CCW permits at their discretion. Conservative areas or more rural areas tend to issue more, while more liberal areas are basically no-issue. Ex: There was a sheriff in Orange County who was basically running a shall-issue county...when he got kicked out of office in '08, the incumbent revoked many of those permits.

If the California open carriers had use some personal restraint and common sense, and limited their open carrying to places like the woods, and other non-populated rural areas, they would still be able to open carry today. Instead they had to go into places like downtown L.A with a gun on their hip. So now they passed a law banning handgun open carry, leaving long guns alone because of hunters in the woods etc. And that law can also be changed with the stroke of a pen... OPEN CARRIERS BEWARE...

good job! We here in Pa enjoy open carry without a permit as well. Unless you are in a motor vehicle then it is automatically considered concealed and you need your ccw. We can also carry a rifle but I've never seen anyone doing it lol. So since it's ca law the gun NOT be loaded I guess that gives cops the legal means to inspect?

Hello Sir, A friend's grandfather died a few weeks ago, and he has a vast collections of guns and ammo. Were talking about probably 50-80 assorted guns and rifles and maybe a few thousand rounds He also lives in California and would like to know how to get rid of them and probably get some cash in return. He hates guns and would not keep any. 2 local dealers does not want them since according to them the guns are in horrible conditions. Local P.D does not want them either. Any suggestions?

If I am walking around with a gun in public I have no problem with police officers coming over to me just to figure it out. It's not that they want to take your guns or something, but it is just unnatural for somebody to walk around with weapons - even if we are allowed to carry firearms on us. I would rather check the person out to make sure their are no hidden motives and just let them be on there way; Then not to stop that person and they commit a crime.

soihitit this is CA and it is almost impossible to get a CCW in this state. Only a few rural counties MIGHT give a CCW permit. No one would have to open carry if they would just allow CCW. I watched a car to car shooting last week. I chased down the shooter called the police. Shooter had ditched the weapon and victim car got away so cops did nothing. I will probably run into him one day on 22fwy i drive daily. He could easily follow me and gun me down when I get out but it is illegal to CCW.
