  • Just so you know, anyone that doesn't have access to a natural spring there is a company out there that just started doing business again called Summit Spring. They have what is called Raw Water. It is the very first unfiltered and untreated, unadulterated, structured and pristine Glass Bottled Water in the world! It is the best alternative and even just plain option to keep in your refrigerator. Google White Hills Distributors for more info and pricing.

  • go to daniel vitials findasrping website for springs submitted by others hopefully in your area

  • We seem to have had many of the same influences. I also live in Minnesota. :)

  • I went took a 2 hour trip to this spring yesterday and let me tell you...this is some of the best water I have ever experienced!

  • We can all do this?

Depends where you live, i guess...?

No springs here. And those a little bit away are 'taken' and have fences around them! LOL

  • Good job broski,

I harvest from Mt. Raineer and use ultra violet light tube to kill pathogens.

  • The water doesn't go into the ground. I think it goes from the pit below the grate to a pipe which carries it to the stream across the street. I've never actually looked for the pipe, I just assume that because the stream is right there and the drain must go somewhere...

  • @threadcreep the water goes under the road and then flows into the stream...that is the GROUND. it soaks in and the cycle begins again. I know what you meant though - I shouldve been clearer...

  • OUTSTANDING!!!!!!!!

  • Shame you gotta deal with living in NYC so much pollution terrible for your health.

  • @Xavier350 i moved away in Dec 2009!!! :)

  • @Xavier350 And now Im back haha...it could be worse really - we have access to amazing food, pretty fresh air off the atlantic, and we are a quick drive away from amazing springwater....things could be FAR worse.

  • Yeah right. And what about the 120 kilometres to drive to site, and the 15 litres of fossil fuel consumed. Not green at all!

  • I think if you carpool, and use the car to do other things, its less wasteful. When we buy water at the store, that has to be transported too!

It was about a 2hr round trip. Think about all the plastic bottles we arent throwing away. Would you rather drink chlorinated water laced with pharmaceuticals? Or plastic-infused bottled water? seriously?

  • Weaver, what gets me is guys like you judging people. You're using a freaking computer so that tells me you're not living "green" right there. Go live up in the mountains in a cave and yell at us from there. Thanks.

  • @weaveratsea consider it a day trip - and its the best water you could ever hope to get. I know what you mean, but its a fun trip for everyone. Ever been hiking? Is it bad to DRIVE to the place to hike?

  • Awesome thanks so much!! If you find anymore in California let me know. The two listed on findaspring are at least 5hrs away...

  • how cool, i am going to see if there are any in Ohio where I live. thanks for posting, and i love your blog

  • Thankyou so much, i'm going to check out a place near me!

  • Okay cool! But one thing..how did you install that pipe..?

  • The pipe connects the source of the spring to the road. There is no pressure, it just flows out.

Its likely been there for years. There are very little minerals in this water (30 PPM) so there isnt much rust or calcium buildup.

  • we were sworn to secrecy!!!!!

who knows what else goes on in NJ...?

  • That pickup truck behind you just dumped a body !

  • wow, thanks, anthony!!!

haha, the surthrival path, i like that. :)

  • Ive always been a cynic of anything until I tried it for myself.

THIS CHECKS OUT. Seriously. Not only does it taste amazing, but the fact that it hasnt absorbed any plastic or been shipped from across the world. This water is RIGHT ON in sooooo many ways.

And plus the only cost is some fuel to get out there (CARBON FOOTPRINT...AHHH!!!) and a day in nature. I am sold for sure.

One trip lasted two people two weeks. How many fiji waters I would have bought in that time? I can never go back!!

  • So, after drinking the good stuff for a while, is it hype or is it worth the effort?

  • dude thats so sweet! I live in San Francisco and so far I haven't been able to find a spring but theres gotta be one ! peace! and great video

  • LOTS and LOTS in California...there is Idyllwild (sp?) and Shasta and Yosemite if you can make the drive. But Im sure there are spots just north of SF near Muir Woods...seriously, I am so amazed by this concept, and really DO feel different.

Keep looking around and listening to more Daniel Vitalis...everything will fall into place.

  • wow thank you for those suggestions! Yes things have been falling into place for me since being laid off. Found David Wolfe then Daniel Vitalis Now I need to remedy my financial situation and continue down the Surthrival path

  • Ooooo, that is some delicious looking water :).

  • Was that a "stir wand" you were using in your water?

  • it was a wooden chopstick ;)
