This is not how this one place treats these poor baby birds....ALL of these kinds of companies do this. I would chew off my own hand before I could ever work in a place like that, throwing those living creatures around like they were beanbags. And what kind of sicko invented those awful machines?

Even people who aren't vegetarians don't want animals treated cruelly. As hard as it is to watch, these videos show people what really goes on, and many will go vege, or at least cut down.

this video makes me sad. i am not a vegetarian or vegan, but it's just blunt inhumane treatment and a disregard for life. people like me should buy their meats from a known local humane farmer. don't buy brands from the store. not only will it help your local economy, but it'll bring consumer demand down (which will aide in stopping companies like this).

Although, I've been attempting to not eat meat in whole I've not completed that goal entirely but I've gained progress and am coming close.

Watching videos like these from time to time reminds me why I need to reach that goal.

Damn that is barbaric machinery. Simple light curtains would prevent chicks from getting trapped in moving parts etc, but that would cut into profits. Better yet have pride and design the equipment so the animals don't get trapped in the first place.

I realize they are small animals and turkeys in general are not the most brilliant of creatures... but there is no reason for the rough handling and slow deaths etc.

I'm not a vegetarian , and I'm not opposed to killing animals for food. However that doesn't means causing needless suffering and indiscriminate killing, which is what is happening here. I would like to see legislation enforced to ensure all these places are run humanely, even if it does mean higher costs at the end. It's cheaper to use slaves rather than pay people, but we don't allow slavery, so it is with meat.

all speed necessary to get products to the consumer

population, without bothering to stop for sympathy.

The cutting off toes for the chicks are so that they

dont claw each other when they are adults. The microwaving beaks is what they do after they debeak

the chicks to sauter the wound.

The treatment of chicks (bagging, letting them die on the ground) is without reason and cruel. If they can't be saved, at least give them quick death.

This is why I'm vegan! Everyone says this is horrible but they are too lazy to do anything about it. Vegans save over 100 lives a year! You can save all these poor turkeys by giving up eating animals and animal byproducts. Go Vegan:-)
