What happened between Shane and Jenny was a mistake because Shane does not know nor aware that Jenny was hiding the letter from Molly in the attic and making her forget about Molly and not being able to reconcile with her.
@knightsofstjoan2004 I couldn't disagree more. Shane and Jenny were a long time coming. Molly and Shane were a grey area - there was love but it wasn't tested properly. Yes, Jenny wasn't completely honest but either was Shane at different points. The relationship between Shane and Jenny is complicated but very deep. They are very different types of romantic relationships. I don't like how Shane or Jenny's characters were written at different times but still, I empathize with both of them.
@joannamarierogue=Shane was not the right girl nor the perfect partner for Jenny and Jenny was not the right girl nor the perfect partner for Shane either, even though they have been best friends and roommates for four or five years. What Jenny can't earn from Shane is her fidelity because the truth about Shane is she's a promiscuous person, a lady killer, and a womanizer, even from the beginning, in fact she never was faithful with Jenny after all. The only girl whom Shane ever loved and was
(continued) faithful with is Molly, Shane admitted this truth when she was having a conversation with Bette and Tina in their house about her feelings for Molly and that truth is not overrated.
I love Bette's reaction in this episode! Priceless! Make me laugh everytime :D
