Thanks for posting this. I know they had to write for the show but man, they should get the facts straight:

-20-23MPG isn't that terrible.

-The BTTF cars did NOT have a Porsche engine. Not sure where that rumor started, but I'm guessing it's because the sound effects were from 928's engine.

-The only reason a car stalls is driver error.If it stalls after 22mph, the driver has not been maintaining it regularly.

Yes, I get defensive when people say it's an awful car since I drive one daily.

Some people don't know much about cars. All they care about is if it runs or not. You should some of the people at our Delorean meets. There are people who were around when the cars were first built and have no clue what kind it is! I talked to a new Delorean owner in person the other day who had no clue about his car. He was a car dealer and didn't even know what year his car was or what engine it had in it! I told him it was an 81 because of the darker front fascia and digital clock inside.

WT is wrong with this guy? gas mileage on a DeLorean is one of the best out there! up to almost 30 MPG on a stick shift!!! bad gas mileage my ass!!!!!!!!

Well if the car stalls at 22mph the mileage ain't gonna be good,and there must be quite a few things wrong wit it so that is why it is terrible mpg!!

As an owner, it baffles me as to why they would have the "owner" degrade the car which is in excellent condition. And put a defect lift support on the car.
