Spurrier is old, has alzheimer's and is washed up. South Carolina had a MUCH better coach before Spurrier. They should make the SC AD PAY for pushing out their other coach for stink spurrier!
@alexp8654 Actually, Spurrier's predecessor, Lou Holtz, was 66 going on 67 when he retired and was ready to retire...and now Spurrier turns 66 next April
Doesnt matter whether he gets it done at South Carolina or not, hes phenomenal football coach an hes proved that over the years. He built floridas program from the ground up. They were average and he made them great. Hes a great recruiter and gets the best out of his players. Same situation for Bobby Bowden at FSU! doesnt matter if he wins a title again, its what hes done thruout his career that gave so many ppl respect for him. Nice try, but hes among the greatest coaches in the SEC
@sammys70 He wasn't lucky. He won an ACC championship at Duke, and then took Florida from mediocrity to a powerhouse; dominating the SEC like no coach, other than Bear Bryant, has ever done. His legacy is set. He can only improve upon it at South Carolina. He hasn't turned them into a powerhouse, but he hasn't had a losing season there, he's taken them to more bowl games than any coach before, and he won an SEC East championship. That's nothin to scoff at.

Urban Meyer is gone Charlie Weiss can't stand up for the full game...the offense spurrier brought to Florida is what made them so great! No one was doing that those Qb's at Florida amounted to nothing in the NFL! Steve Spurrier makes okay Qb's look like great Qb's Garcia a year a go was nominated for the Danny O'brien or whatever it is...Florida lost again this year too...S.Carolina best in the east!
