@lsuman8883 oh a fucking 14 year old fake gun know it all thats new not really thats as quiet as its gonna get so get out a little and stop playing so much call of duty
For those of you making COD references please stick to video games and stop making everyone else stupider. The only reason the rifle seems to be making more noise than suppressors in hollywood is because he is using regular ammunition which is supersonic. Thus the crack you're hearing is the bullet breaking the sound barrier and making a sonic boom. If he was using subsonic ammo, you would only hear the bolt going back and forth assuming it cycled.
@SGMagpul No this is a suppressor. It does not silence the rifle hence it still makes a noise. Nowhere outside of the civilian US and the NFA do you hear the term "silencer." This is a sound suppressor.
@NRAdude Lol? It's not possible to completely silence a firearm. Silencer and Supressor are two different things, not just two different terms for the same thing.
@SGMagpul That's why I said it doesn't "silence" the rifle. I never said they were the same thing. I said many civis think they're the same thing. Notice the difference?
@NRAdude I notice the difference. Dude, this is too quiet to be a suppressor. Suppressors aren't made to make the gun quiet, they're made to muffle the noise of the gunshot.
@lsuman8883 Just because you play Call of Duty doesn't mean you know shit about guns. If you haven't shot an AR15, M16, or an M4 in real life than you wouldn't know about the sound levels. In reality that is making A LOT less noise than if it were not equipped with that suppressor. Secondly, it's a United States serviceman shooting the damn gun, I think they'd know if it were real or not. Have some damn respect and learn your facts before commenting based on some stupid ass video game, kid.
@Papasdnkuout I'm aware it was sarcasm you dumb cunt. I'm the smart one, I've grown up in a military family surrounded by this type of shit. Trust me, I know it was sarcasm but it's fucking stupid and makes all of you look like stupid asses.
@Papasdnkuout Except that I didn't comment as a mad little 12 year old, I'm going to be enlisted in the military after this summer and growing up around firearms in the military, I think I know what I'm talking about. Ummm this isn’t a silencer and he is very correct to be wearing hearing protection because this looks like a A-18 Flashider . Listen to it for Christ sakes. Its a flash suppressor...
@GeorgeBonez ...damn, you are an assclown. if you think that's what an m4 sounds like without a "silencer" you are a fucking idiot. there is no mythical device that completely silences your weapon and barring subsonic ammo THAT is the quietest an m4 is going to get.
dammit i hate cherry ass faggots commenting some stupid shit when they have no real experience let alone even been in combat.
@Aggiesgigem Maybe what I wrote came out wrong. I was just saying that the Surefire Earpro's are protection that can be worn all the time while on patrol with total comfort. Plus if your firing suppressed, why the need for ear muffs? Just sayin. Also when I was in, we got spungy ear plugs, never had ear cans. I didn't mean to prioritize looks over function by any means.
@lessavit Depends on what ammo you're using. I don't know much but I'm pretty sure the only noise you really hear is the action and the supersonic bullet's flight through the air. If you have subsonic ammo all you hear is the action slap the next round in. Even .22lr ammo is supersonic so you can imagine it being quieter than your average .22lr.
@Slurm that is exactly what the clicking sound is, the trigger reset. @wlvflwbfl It is not a two stage trigger, just a standard trigger on a standard M-4.

@R4ptor2 are you shitting me, get out of your basement and learn yourself something. the fact that everyone calls them silencers is retarded to begin with, they supress your weapon. in fact they are designed to make the weapon sound like something else that your brain won't cue in as a gunshot. Do some research or get out there and experience it first hand
@FlyFishGuide88 Psst...hey buddy, guess what? He's taking the piss. Don't worry, I won't tell anyone, lucky for you. Otherwise you'd just look like a fool ;)
I'm stuck between EOTech's and Aimpoint's LaRue 3x magnifier. Has the EOTech mount flipped back into place, say if you were holding the rifle sideways or with any rapid movements?
That was not the "trigger resetting". That is what is known as trigger squeeze. All great rifleman master 4 fundamentals when becoming a great shooter. 1) Breathing. 2) Sight picture. 3) Steady position 4) Trigger squeeze. Watch closely. Hes exhaling and holding before each shot, he slowly squeezes the trigger until a round is expelled and he is in the seated firing position. Main ones are prone supported, prone unsupported, and kneeling.
@CookiesNKream1 Dude, it's the trigger resetting. AKA follow through, the trigger squeeze / hammer drop is masked by the report of the weapon. The click afterwards is the release of the trigger and the trigger resetting.
@CookiesNKream1 It doesn't take 3/4 of a second from the trigger pull the gun actually firing, moron. It's the trigger resetting. It's a standard feature on any Stoner-Designed gun.
@metalfrommaine Fucktard Stoner? Are you retarded? Eugene Stoner. The man who made the AR-10, which was the father of the AR-15, which was the father of the M16, which is kinda like the M4's big brother.

Too many morons to reply to: Body position is the same as steady position, trigger squeeze is not "trigger resetting". IT MAKES A METALLIC CLICK NOISE. "Trigger resetting" aka metallic click is to let you know that 0 lbs of pressure are required to fire another round. "It's when you slowly pull the trigger so you have no idea when the actual round is going to fire, that way you don't stiffen your body in response to expected recoil. LOWEST I've shot in the military. 37/40. You don't know shit.
@CookiesNKream1 yeaaa... even gomer pile shot 37/40 but that dont mean shit. body position is supposed to put you in what position? hint: its called NA. what is the muzzle velocity of your M16A1? or did you shoot the A4? and no rifle fires at 0lbs its still your 5lbs pull to the point of fire. keep in mind champ not everyone here is a 12 year old noob some of us shot before, like myself, at national levels in our repsected specialty. smart asses like you push people away from taking up shooting.

ran out of room. also, the higher the muzzle volocity, the less effective at close range as the round can go right through the target, with them barely noticing they've been shot. it's a trade off: with a shorter barrel, the 5.56 can be very effective for close quarters battle, but becomes just short of useless if you have to engage the target at any sort of distance, but the long barrel, aside from deing unwieldly, makes the round too hot for close range.
the military uses one standard grain bullet, the NATO 5.56. it's hotter than the civilian .223 but standard across the military.barrel length makes a huge difference in long range accuracy. like soulstealer said, barrel length affects muzzle velocity, so the M4 CQBR (Mk18 Mod 0) with it's 10" barrel has a substantially lower velocity than a 20" barrel M16. so while you can dot someones eyes at 200 meters with a 20" barrel, a round from the 10" might not even make it that far.
@dannym4a1z I'm not a soldier, but I can tell you that it depends on the environment. the M4A1 (don't mistake it for the M4 variation of the M-16 is a carbine, it has a shorter barrel than then m-16 , and it is much more compact. the M-16 has a longer barrel, and more weight, providing a more stable rifle for longer range shots. So ultimately, if your in an environment where mobility is the key such as an urban environment you'd probably opt for the M4A1. this is just my understanding however
@dannym4a1z there both the same they both use the same ammo and magazine the only thing they change is the butt stock and from burst to auto. i don't know if they change anything inside of the rifle. Another thing are your talking about m16a4 or m16a3.
No.... a 5.56 NATO round from any gun with the same barrel lengths is going to carry exactly the same energy. Accuracy may vary slightly, but not by a whole lot.
@tartredarrow Not to start a discussion, but not all 5.56x45mm have the same grains. So that already gives different velocities to different 5.56mm cartridges. Also, regarding barrel length, increasing barrel length increases muzzle velocity. So since kinetic energy = 1/2 x mass x velocity squared, increasing velocity will increase the energy of the round. Lastly, if barrel length only affects marginally accuracy, why don't they use short barrels on every gun?
Its a suppressor, NOT a silencer. Its better to have it than not coz ur ears can only take so much. It isn't jamming coz dude cleaned his weapon and its purrin like a kitten. Nicely done.
@BookerT48 Well he has Peltor Comtacs(I believe) comms headset on which actually filters out sounds above I think 120dB so he wouldn't hear the rifle shot if it was unsuppressed anyway. He's probably just shooting it for practice or zeroing.
Btw he has a 3x magnifier for his Eotech, which does give him zoom.
@alexm757 not an eotech. just some off brand m 68 cco the army over pays for, you gotta get your own sight if its eotech or your in some high speed unit
@airsoftbro123 My friend there is a difference. Not tryin to stir the pot, just pointing something out. I wish all combat units were issued some kind of suppressor.
this is fake. the military wouldn't let you put 2 attachments on a gun like that. plus the scope is kinda useless. LEARN TO SHOOT AND YOU WONT NEED A SCOPE. fucking loser
@thisiswinning tha makes absolutly no sense at all I seen M4s with 4 attachments on.A scope is fucking nessesary to see far away targets/enemies obviously what its made for.
Ladies and gents I've fired a silenced m4 and it isn't like a fucking one shot deal it operates the same as an normal m4 except the round are sub sonic and therefore are quieter.
No, the rounds are most likely NOT sub sonic. If they are sub sonic you, well, most of the time, have to manually cycle the weapon. because to get the 5.56 round below the speed of sound, you have to use very little gunpowder in the cartridge. therefor theres not enough gas generated in the barrel behind the bullet to operate the action of the gun. however, if you use regular loaded ammunition, the gun will cycle, but the bullet still travels at super sonic
@Macki1287 the point is, that the bang from the muzzle is louder, than the super sonic crack of the bullet in flight. the muzzlebang is reduced a lot, the only thing you will here if you get shot with such a supressed weapon at 100+ yards is the sonic-crack and a "whizzzz" from the bullet flying past you. But because of the missing bang from the muzzle, its almost impossible to exacly know where the shot came from. however, i heared from "subsonic 556"loads, that are still able to cycle the gun.
@Macki1287 When i was training with a silenced m4 the guy who was showing me how to operate it said the rounds where sub sonic. He was a jeans and t-shirt type if you get me.
@Macki1287 When i was training with a silenced m4 the guy who was showing me how to operate it said the rounds where sub sonic He was a jeans and t-shirt type if you get me
This can't be real. According to all the youtube firearm experts that carbine is supposed to jam everytime and it isn't jamming, must be some kind of special effect.

TheVermontHunter 2 months ago
@dannym4a1z there both the same they both use the same ammo and magazine the only thing they change is the butt stock and from burst to auto. i don't know if they change anything inside of the rifle. Another thing are your talking about m16a4 or m16a3.
dontwhine1 2 months ago
@dontwhine1 No he's meaning that the M16 is heaver so it can kill at longer range than the M4 can.
Yijral 2 months ago
@Yijral
No.... a 5.56 NATO round from any gun with the same barrel lengths is going to carry exactly the same energy. Accuracy may vary slightly, but not by a whole lot.
tartredarrow 2 months ago
@tartredarrow Yea I know that. He might be saying that the M16 is being used as a sniper weapon and the M4C is being used as a SMG.
Yijral 2 months ago
@Yijral
Ah, I see your meaning. Right on mate.
tartredarrow 2 months ago
@tartredarrow Yea!
Yijral 2 months ago
@tartredarrow Not to start a discussion, but not all 5.56x45mm have the same grains. So that already gives different velocities to different 5.56mm cartridges. Also, regarding barrel length, increasing barrel length increases muzzle velocity. So since kinetic energy = 1/2 x mass x velocity squared, increasing velocity will increase the energy of the round. Lastly, if barrel length only affects marginally accuracy, why don't they use short barrels on every gun?
SoulsStealerMalti 2 months ago
@Yijral Has nothing to do with the gun. It's all about the charge of the round. Same round = same range

Its a suppressor, NOT a silencer. Its better to have it than not coz ur ears can only take so much. It isn't jamming coz dude cleaned his weapon and its purrin like a kitten. Nicely done.
BookerT48 3 months ago
@BookerT48 Well he has Peltor Comtacs(I believe) comms headset on which actually filters out sounds above I think 120dB so he wouldn't hear the rifle shot if it was unsuppressed anyway. He's probably just shooting it for practice or zeroing.
Btw he has a 3x magnifier for his Eotech, which does give him zoom.
alexm757 3 months ago
@alexm757 not an eotech. just some off brand m 68 cco the army over pays for, you gotta get your own sight if its eotech or your in some high speed unit
renster143 3 months ago
@alexm757 G-23 w/ 3x mag? Looks like it, and you can buy one for about $400 US dollars. I wonder how much the Army pays?
BookerT48 3 months ago
@BookerT48 hey buddy, it was patented with the name silencer, so get over youself
airsoftbro123 3 months ago
@airsoftbro123 My friend there is a difference. Not tryin to stir the pot, just pointing something out. I wish all combat units were issued some kind of suppressor.

Ladies and gents I've fired a silenced m4 and it isn't like a fucking one shot deal it operates the same as an normal m4 except the round are sub sonic and therefore are quieter.
stratagie1 5 months ago
@stratagie1
Macki1287 4 months ago
@Macki1287 the point is, that the bang from the muzzle is louder, than the super sonic crack of the bullet in flight. the muzzlebang is reduced a lot, the only thing you will here if you get shot with such a supressed weapon at 100+ yards is the sonic-crack and a "whizzzz" from the bullet flying past you. But because of the missing bang from the muzzle, its almost impossible to exacly know where the shot came from. however, i heared from "subsonic 556"loads, that are still able to cycle the gun.
Macki1287 4 months ago
@Macki1287 When i was training with a silenced m4 the guy who was showing me how to operate it said the rounds where sub sonic.
He was a jeans and t-shirt type if you get me.

This can't be real. According to all the youtube firearm experts that carbine is supposed to jam everytime and it isn't jamming, must be some kind of special effect.
