  • Maggie's farm gets my vote. Housin' is awesome too. Calm like a bomb & No shelter are actually ridiculously funky. Moth with audioslave!

  • @ellaheartsmcrpatdfob the best shirt ever!

  • Nobody seems to be as amazed with I'm Housin' as I am. The bass line on that song is so good.

  • i think number 5 should be number 1.......

  • anyone know if he has any bass solos because i wanna se that

  • Timmy C! Bring that bass in!

  • The Ghost Of Tom Joad...

    Renegades Of Funk...

    Born Of A Broken Man...

By far the best is Testify.

But ALL Commerford's basslines were awesome!

  • without a face ?!?!

  • 5 people went into spasms because the bass lines were so awesome and hit "dislike" by accident.

  • It's absolutely impossible to choose just 10 bass line from this awesome bassist. But I have to mention it: if you want to choose 10, you can't forget Vietnow, Revolver and Wind Below.

    E.E = the best album.

Hey, we can not forget Testify too.

  • Without a Face!?

  • ALL THE BASS LINES FROM THIER FIRST ALBUM

  • No darkness of greed :(

  • Wake up? Killing in the name? BOMBTRACK???!!!! WHERE ARE YOU???!!!!!

  • Wheres Bombtrack?!

  • Long Live RATM!!

  • where's bombtrack? my mate did that for his HSC performance.

  • the weirdest tatoos ever

  • Bob is my favourite bassplayer off all time !

  • I've been playing the bass for over 11 years and as a fan of RATM I must say that one of the greatest basslines that Tim ever composed has to be "Sleep now in the Fire", which is not even mentioned on this list =(

  • @adondebass sorry... =(

  • love the intro to Calm Like A Bomb

  • what was the frist song before #10

  • @Islayedthebat Audioslave - Be Yourself

  • Tim Commerford is a real awesome bassist! :D

  • you said bullet in the head twice...

  • @misterdemerol yeah those are two different "Basslines"

  • one of the best

  • I used to think his tone on the debut album with the stingray was sick, but the evil empire tone with the jazz bass is fuckin narly. both very aggressive and punchy in their own ways.

  • I still can't believe those are tattoos on his shoulders. The way he wears a tank top, it looks like it's part of his shirt.

  • Where is the Know your Enemy bass line???? One of the bests!

  • one of the best bass players

  • "This is a Bob DYlan cover and Bob sucks."

  • @AdriftFor i think bob dylan's music sucks but his lyrics are great

  • what about guerilla radio?

  • Such a bad ass bass player. What band is he in now?

  • @XiuTheFeared Rage are still together, but just not recording anything

  • It's obvious, Freedom is #1 <3

  • What was the song in the intro? I'm sure I've heard every single RATM track ever released and I don't recognise it.

  • @GuruMarv I'm not sure but I think it might be Audioslave.

  • @MrCliffybiro Thanks for heading me in that direction. Did a bit of research and it's "Audioslave - Be Yourself".

  • bombtrack

  • Without a face has the sickest bassline ever played.

  • Haha. "This is a Bob Dylan cover." It's funny you even have to put that on there.

  • @ToolCCR well i wanna give credit when credit is due

  • my favorite bassist...HANDS DOWN

  • one of my all time fav's..."Bring the Power Back"

  • Such an inspiration

  • New Millennium Homes

  • wheres bulls on parade

  • Should of had renegades of funk

  • there's got to be some audioslave in there!

  • i like his be yourself line da most

  • Wind below tambien faltaría , esta genial el bajo ahí,. , pero igual 10 puntos ;)

  • who could dislike?

  • To bad I never followed up on this but, he is the reason why I bought a bass guitar way back in 1998.

  • Hahah tom's shirt at the end

  • someone should do a vid like this for Geddy lee of Rush. best basslines in Canada or anywhere maybe.

  • Couldnt agree more with number 1...the rest are debatable and bullet in the head is there twice!!Theres way more awesome bass riffs!

  • @mairt100 That would be because it has extra awesome. 2 awesome riffs.

  • I don't disagree with the sentiment but the order is all wrong and there are a load of other Tim basslines I would put in, even for calm like a bomb the bass riff at the start is legend but so is the main riff

  • has anyone notice the use of Bullet in the Head at number 6 and number 2? whoever made this is a fucking idiot.

  • @Robhasanaccount yep i did notice that but i must say i love that song so if it comes in twice what the hell, crank it the fuck up yea!!!!!

  • Ehhhhh... I would have put "One And The Same" onto this list, it's got some of his best finger style playing and a bad ass grove to boot.

Out of Exile was nice too, tom's guitar ringing, he kept the song moving pretty nice with a nimble bass lick that gave the verses a bit of urgency, a bit more feeling.

Exploder from the first audioslave album is my favorite song for bass on me there. Wah wah bass during the solo, bad ass licking, and during the verse Tim lays some sweet groove

  • what RATM fan cant tell take the power back would be #1? lol

  • my no1 would probably be when know your enemy kicks back in after the solo, approx 4:00 through. fave rage song too.

  • what bass does he use ???

  • @Xxrickibee94xX Fender jazz by the looks of things :-)

  • @TheAdz777 he started with a Musicman Stingray until about 95, then used Fender Jazz Basses up until about 2008... he now uses a Lakland Joe Osborn signature

  • what bout bombtrack kunt?

  • Love Tom's shirt at the end ;D

  • Calm like a bomb should be 1st. Anybody else ever hear a bass make that sound?!?!

  • bring that shit in

  • My list would like this. 1:No Shelter 2:Wind Below 3:Bulls On Parade 4:People Of The Sun 5:Bullet In The Head 6:I'm Housin' 7:Down Rodeo 8:Calm Like A Bomb 9:Know Your Enemy 10:Tire Me The first ones are the ones I do believe are the best. They're not qualified because of the complexity, but the sound a groove of it, wich is all that matters.

  • Awesome list man, really helps when deciding something new to play. :)

  • TATTOO IS PRETY COOL!
