This is a cover version of a great song. Although the lyrics add a lot of meaning to the song, listening to it without lyrics makes you listen to the music, which can give you a new appreciation for the song ;)

Okay, this is what us musicians sometimes call a melody. If you notice, the lead guitar is playing the same notes that the vocalist, in this case Davey is the vocalist for A Fire Inside, sings.

This is a melody, the words are replaces with an instrument.

thx for the constructive criticism. The video you are listening to is in mono, which doesn't even compare to the stereo version. I've linked a place to download to the stereo version of the song. I think you'll enjoy that:)

As for effects, I like to keep things subtle, dont tend to overuse effects too much...but check out 2:33 for a cool envelope filter effect and 2:52 - 3:08 for a very subtle octave effect ;)
